Benefit Cosmetics is looking for a creative, social-obsessed, and results-driven Social & Content Manager to take our digital presence across Australia & New Zealand to the next level.

 

About the Role

This is not your typical social role. We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes content, someone who can spot a trend before it peaks, create scroll-stopping videos, and turn insights into impact.

 Think trending TikToks, fun campaign moments, BTS ‘Life at Benefit' magic, and everything in between.

As our Social & Content Manager, you’ll be both in front of the camera and behind owning and executing our social content strategy across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube; leading everything from ideation to filming to editing and posting. Confidence in front of the camera and being the face of the brand is key.

Reporting to the Marketing Director, you’ll play a key role in shaping how Benefit shows up online, driving brand awareness, engagement, and conversion through best-in-class content that is fun, bold, and unmistakably Benefit.

Job responsibilities

Social Strategy

  • Develop and execute the social content strategy across organic and paid channels

  • Lead impactful campaign launches and always-on content plans that drive engagement and business results

  • Continuously optimise performance using insights, testing, and learnings

Content Creation

  • Own the end-to-end content journey — from ideation and filming to editing and publishing

  • Create high-performing, platform-native content across TikTok & Instagram, across owned and paid for key launch moments and always on.

  • Capture content across events, influencer activations, and in-store experiences

  • Bring the Benefit brand personality to life in every piece of content

Calendar & Community

  • Own and manage the monthly content calendar ensuring a consistent flow of fresh, engaging and trend-relevant content

  • Actively engage with our community; responding to comments, DMs and conversations in a timely and authentic way

Trends, Innovation & Performance

  • Stay ahead of social and beauty trends to keep Benefit at the forefront of the industry

  • Experiment with new formats, tools, and platforms to elevate content

  • Track, analyse and report on content performance, using insights to refine and improve future output

Profile

Experience

  • Proven experience in a social media and content creation role (beauty industry highly regarded)

  • Hands-on experience creating video-first content for TikTok and Instagram

  • Experience managing social channels end-to-end, including analytics and reporting

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong content creation skills — filming, editing, and storytelling (Capcut, Canvapro)

  • Confident in makeup application and creating diverse beauty looks on camera

  • Deep understanding of social platforms, trends, and what drives engagement

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

  • Commercial mindset with the ability to translate data into action

  • Understanding of the ANZ influencer and media landscape
