Berluti, the unique men's Maison of the LVMH Group, was born in Paris in 1895 and has been elevated over four successive generations of the Berluti family, cultivating the art of excellence and know-how in footwear, while developing a passion for leather and patina. Berluti North America is seeking a Retail Excellence Assistant to join our Retail Excellence team.
Based in New York, this position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Retail Excellence and plays a key role in supporting and coordinating Retail teams across the US. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and maximization of business performance through efficient retail operations, enhanced client experience, and strategic execution using effective tools.
Job responsibilities
1/ Retail Performance
- Develop, execute, and coordinate weekly performance reports for all stores.
- Define and monitor KPIs to track retail performance and support retail teams in enhancing client experience through actionable plans.
- Coordinate communications across the retail network, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
- Assist in monitoring store P&L, including travel and expense management.
2/ Retail Operations
- Provide daily support to retail teams on all operational matters.
- Coordinate regional store projects (openings, relocations, closures) in partnership with Central Architecture & Logistics and Zone Merchandising teams.
3/ Training
- Develop and implement tools to effectively monitor the rollout and adoption of training programs, ensuring their successful integration and impact on retail excellence.
- Track the progress and effectiveness of retail training initiatives, identifying areas for improvement, and reporting on their contribution to sales performance and operations.
4/ Project Management
- Support strategic projects across the region, including omnichannel and e-commerce optimization as well as client services, ensuring effective implementation.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Senior Manager of Retail Excellence and central IT team, specifically for IT-related projects and issues.
Profile
- Strong organizational skills and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Ability to set and achieve challenging objectives.
- Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Hands-on retail management experience is a plus.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proactive, agile, retail-oriented, and committed to client satisfaction.
- Languages: Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (PowerBI a plus) and PowerPoint.
- Education: To keep removed or add upon Quinn’s recommendation
Internship Duration: May 2026 – December 2026 (renewable)
Expected work schedule is ideally five days per week, with a minimum commitment of three days per week.
You will report to the Senior Manager of Retail Excellence and collaborate closely with store teams (Store Directors/Managers, Operations Manager, Sales Associates), New York Headquarters departments (CRM, Sales Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Wholesale, Finance, HR, Legal, etc.), and Paris Headquarters departments (Retail Performance, IT, Internal Control, Supply Chain, Training, etc.).
The appointed candidate will be offered an hourly rate depending on his/her year of study:
- Undergraduates : $20.00/hr
- MBA/Masters students. $25.00/hr
