Position
Within the Jewelry&Watches (JW) Retail Merchandising Department in Rome, we are searching for a JW Retail Merchandising Specialist.
Reporting to the JW Retail Merchandising Manager, the selected candidate will contribute to defining and optimizing product assortment and distribution strategies across all Stores, collaborating with both local and central teams to ensure consistency with product strategy and business performance.
Job responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate both Global and Novelties assortment sessions, working closely with Local Merchandisers to define the optimal product assortment for each store based on store clustering, product strategy and sales performance.
- Manage and validate assortments for new openings, renovations/relocations and Pop-Up initiatives, coordinating all involved stakeholders (Local Merchandisers, Network Merchandising, Supply Chain, Distribution Planning) to ensure timely and effective implementation.
- Monitor and optimize the distribution of products managed on allocation, ensuring alignment with store needs, product priorities and commercial opportunities.
- Analyze weekly sales performance, identifying opportunities and proposing actionable recommendations to maximize sell-through, in partnership with Local Merchandisers and Central Departments.
- Act as key point of contact for Central Supply Chain and Distribution Planning on assortment-related topics and on priority setting for new product launches.
- Support the evolution of assortment and distribution processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and data-driven decision making.
Profile
Qualifications / Professional Capabilities
- University Degree in Business Management, Economics, or a related field
- 4–6 years of experience in merchandising or a similar role, preferably within the luxury or retail industry
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications (especially Excel and PowerPoint); knowledge of Power BI is considered a plus
- Fluency in English and Italian
