In order to strengthen our Perfume Sales business unit based in Munich, we are recruiting a talented:

 

GERMANY, AUSTRIA AND NETHERLANDS – MARKETING MANAGER PERFUME

 

Reporting to the Country Director, we are looking for a highly skilled, results-driven Perfume Marketing Manager to lead and execute marketing strategies that strengthen brand presence, drive sales growth, and support profitability. As a senior member of the Europe & Africa team, you will partner closely with retail partners, the sales team, client advisors, and HQ in Rome and Switzerland to ensure excellent, end-to-end implementation in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

Job responsibilities

Trade Marketing

- Define the local trade marketing strategy in line with brand image and global plans; manage the A&P budget to deliver image, impact, sales, and profitability targets.

- Lead client meetings with retail partners to present and negotiate trade plans aligned on vision, execution, and outcomes.

- Build local go-to-market plans for launches, coordinating campaigns, pop-ups, and in-store events from concept to execution.

 

Retail Excellence

- Ensure flawless in-store execution across the network, with top standards in flagship doors (VM updates, maintenance, etc.).

- Drive the creation and installation of personalized corners with key stakeholders to elevate brand image and customer experience.

- Adapt and implement VM guidelines (planograms, scenography) to ensure brand consistency and portfolio coherence.

 

Amplification

- Own PR and social media initiatives locally, setting targets to maximize coverage, visibility, and engagement.

- Coordinate product seeding with the local agency and manage influencer/KOL relationships through a Friend of House program.

- Plan and deliver trade events and PR activations to boost awareness and engagement.

 

Business Analytics & Reporting

- Set performance targets, monitor and analyse results, and recommend optimizations.

- Consolidate and share best practices and reporting (trade plans, launch reports) with stakeholders.

- Recommend investment priorities, track budget and ROI, and adjust forecasts based on market shifts.

- Translate trends, innovation, competitive insights, and consumer learnings into actionable strategies.

 

Profile

- We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual who embodies the following qualities and expertise:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

- At least 5 years of experience in similar positions in the German market, with experience in the luxury and beauty industries, and direct interaction with retailer clients.

- Proven track-record of developing and executing high-impact marketing initiatives in full adherence to the brand concept, backed by strong data interpretation skills leading to informed decision-making.

- Expertise in PR and social media strategies, with a proven ability to amplify brand presence and engage target audiences across multiple platforms.

- Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a passion for fragrance.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and rally stakeholders around your vision.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel.

- Fluency in German and English; any other language is a plus.

- Flexible and mobile for 25% business travel.
