Christian Dior Couture is a world-renowned luxury fashion house, known for its timeless elegance and innovation in fashion. Our commitment to excellence extends to our data practices, and we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our Data Factory.

About the Data Factory:

The Data Factory was established 2.5 years ago to accelerate Dior’s Data Ambition and drive incremental benefits through data-driven decision-making. Comprising five teams — AI Factory, Analytics Factory, Data Strategy, Data Acculturation, and Data Governance, the Data Factory plays a crucial role in advancing our data initiatives.

Job responsibilities

Direct report to the Head of AI Factory, the Lead Data Scientist will work within a team composed of 7 Data Scientists & a Success Manager.

They will oversee the conception, the development and the industrialization of AI-orientated projects conducted at the AI Factory. This position is key in ensuring the excellence, the relevance and the consistency of the solutions that are implemented to meet business objectives. The projects cover a wide variety of Christian Dior Couture activities (Clientèling, Supply Chain, Finance, Retail).

The Lead Data Scientist is responsible of:

  • Assessing the potential and the validity of AI approaches on business use cases
  • Designing and implementing efficient modelling approaches to meet business objectives
  • Maintaining best practices (code reviews, clean code, technical and functional documentation of the projects, tests)
  • Ensuring the link between IT teams and the AI Factory prior to the industrialization of AI projects
  • Measuring the impact and return on investment of the implemented solutions
  • Animating technology watches sessions with the other Data Scientists

Profile

  • Strong proven experience in delivering AI and Data projects
  • Strong proven experience in industrializing AI projects and monitoring their impact and their stability in production
  • Advanced understanding of statistical modelling and machine learning multidisciplinary concepts (Time Series, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Generative AI)
  • Excellent programming skills in Python and SQL
  • Experience with Cloud computing
  • Solid management of Git workflows
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to value simple and pragmatic solutions
  • Experience with Retail, Supply Chain or Marketing typical use cases is appreciated
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled at diving into technical issues and explaining them in a way that is comprehensible to business stakeholders
  • Strong experience in project management within teams composed of various profiles (Product Managers, Product Owners, Data Engineers, Business Experts)
  • Ability to interact effectively with both top management and operational staff
  • French (mandatory) and (fluent) English are required
