YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT
CELINE is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to contribute to the company's economic performance.
This role will play a critical part in steering financial performance through proactive cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnership. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong financial acumen, a proactive mindset, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
This position is based in New York City at 598 Madison Avenue and reports to the Sr. Director, Finance.
This position also manages two junior FP&A.
This role follows a hybrid work schedule of four days in the office and one day remote.
YOUR IMPACT
Financial Close and Cost control
Lead the monthly closing process, in collaboration with the accounting team.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Prepare key entries and accruals (e.g, gross margin, inventories, etc).
- Review and challenge accounting entries.
- Perform detailed variance analysis against budget and prior year; identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure that the monthly close is done in a timely manner.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly deliverables including:
- P&L (overall and by channel / stores).
- Balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
- Cost analysis (e.g, security, logistics, outside personnel, etc).
Forecasting / Budgeting
- Prepare and oversee the elaboration of the yearly budget and reforecasts.
- Partners with department’s head in order to gather inputs and identify risks and opportunities.
- Ensure that budgets are correctly reported in the budgeting tool in a timely manner.
- Support preparation of executive level presentations and financial summaries.
Strategic Business Partner
Be a real business partner for each department:
- Prepare analysis and presentation to give visibility for each department on their current trend.
- Work in partnership with them to identify any risks and analysis.
- Support and challenge operational decisions with data driven analysis.
Ad hoc Analysis and Special Projects
- Lead various strategic analysis including but not limited to:
- 1. Investment analysis
- 2. Competitive benchmark
- 3. Retail performance analysis
- Oversee the calculation of retail commissions.
- Develop financial models to support business decisions.
Job responsibilities
KEYS FOR SUCCESS
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance required
Experience:
- Required fluency in both spoken and written English. Knowledge of French a plus
- 5+ years acquired in financial planning, preferably in fashion. Prior background in an international company and/or auditing company preferred
- Retail Knowledge a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills and other MS software, including strong PowerPoint for presentation preparation required
- Preferred experience with ERP systems including JDE, Cegid and Dynamics.
- Organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills are a must
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated to learn new concepts and oriented towards achieving results
- Must work well independently and in a team environment, and in a fast-paced organization

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization including senior leadership and retail associates
Languages: Fluent in English, French is a plus.

The compensation for this position ranges from $130,000k - $145,000k annually. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
