YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Selling Supervisor is responsible for mentoring associates towards achieving an elevated customer experience, category management and sales objectives, maintaining and achieving high operational and merchandizing standards, and assisting with the daily supervision of the team.

YOUR IMPACT

Sales:

  • Meet individual and store sales targets and consignment goals
  • Incorporate product knowledge in the sales process with the result of maximizing sales, units sold per transaction, and the dollar value of each transaction
  • Lead and empower sales team to provide high quality customer service in order to achieve maximum sales results
  • Coordinate the use of all client relationship resources (training tools, client books, etc.) to provide elevated service to all clients
  • Manage the level of floor supervision to improve sales results
  • Support the Store Manager in developing the team through mentoring and/or buddy system as well as the integration of newcomers
  • Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the company’s policies and provide support to other Client Advisors when needed
  • Depending on specific store needs, additional responsibilities could include stock and store operations, visual merchandising, after-sales

Customer Service:

  • Maintain the highest degree of customer service every day
  • Assist sales associates with various customer service issues
  • Empower associates to make decisions in the best interest of providing good customer service by serving as a proactive mentor and problem solver

Operations:

  • Effective utilization of POS system and its inventory management functions
  • Opening and closing the store following Company policies and procedures and make sure that tenders balance. Troubleshoot as needed to resolve problem
  • Administer follow-up and paperwork in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Meet inventory accuracy and shrink requirements
  • Perform other projects, as assigned

Visuals:

  • Partner with the Visual Manager to lead all aspects of the merchandising standards
  • Support the Regional Visual Manager in planning, scheduling and implementing an innovative, compelling and well carried out visual environment with the express purpose of enhancing the customer’s shopping experience
  • Review sales frequently, take action to correct deficiencies and increase positive sales

Human Resources:

  • Develop and empower staff through goal setting and regular morning meetings
  • Supervise the team and implement company policies while adhering to proper procedure regarding disciplinary action in the absence of Store Management
  • Identify individual and team training needs in partnership with the store manager

KEYS FOR SUCCESS

Education

  • Business School, University or “equivalent experience”

Experience:

  • Position requires minimum of 7 years of experience of sales preferably in a luxury retail setting
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
  • Computer literate; learn and use various software packages
