YOUR ENVIRONMENT

As a Studio Knitwear Assistant, you will discover the various aspects of the designer’s role within a Fashion House.

 

Core Responsibilities

Technical tasks

• Creation and update of technical CAD sketches for each collection.
• Support for the design team in the creation of digital artworks and simulations.
• Creating and updating technical fit sheets.
• Supporting the design team in creating and updating seasonal overviews.

Design development tasks

• Assisting in the selection and sourcing of yarns and in the creation of group yarn cards.
• Research into seasonal themes directed by the design team: Mood / Trims / Stitches / Vintage references.
• Supporting the update of seasonal mood boards.
• Attending and assisting in design fittings.

Administrative tasks

• Organising the knit archive, maintaining design files, and performing general studio upkeep.
• Booking, recording, and tracking shipments.

Profile

Required Skills and Attributes

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Adobe software: Illustrator / Photoshop / InDesign.
• Confident in supporting the creation of handmade mock-ups – basic sewing knowledge required. Hand knitting and crochet skills are a plus.

Other Attributes

• Strong organisational skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills – the team is multilingual and the common working language is English.
• A proactive, hardworking, and eager-to-learn attitude is highly valued, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Languages:

• Fluent in English (both spoken and written)
