Job responsibilities

We are seeking to recruit a Lundry Manager to manage the daily operations of the laundry services. Assigns and reviews the work of laundry Ambassadeurs engaged in receiving, washing, ironing, packaging and delivering laundry to various departments or guests.

• Ensuring adherence to Maison policies and procedures among laundry team.
• Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and hygiene for laundry Ambassadeurs, including uniform care.
• Planning, delegating, and supervising all laundry-related tasks for efficient and prompt service.
• Providing necessary resources and training to the laundry team.
• Overseeing and optimising the operation of all laundry areas.
• Monitoring and maintaining laundry machinery for optimal performance.
• Ensuring high-quality laundry production and garment hygiene standards.
• Supervising guest garment handling in compliance with operational procedures.
• Managing the uniform and linen rooms to uphold Maison policy.
• Reporting disciplinary issues to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Coordinating chemical stock levels in collaboration with the purchasing department.
• Liaising with tailors for uniform and linen needs.
• Conducting monthly inventories of linen and uniforms.
• Maintaining stock levels of uniform and upholstery materials.
• Reporting equipment malfunctions and material shortages.
• Responding to guest requests and addressing laundry-related complaints.
• Monitoring and managing linen care, including discards and fraying.
• Conducting regular meetings with the laundry team.
• Identifying and coordinating training needs with the Human Resources.
• Ensuring team members follow proper machine usage and safety procedures.
• Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and sanitation throughout the laundry department.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.

Profile

• A diploma in Hospitality, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Laundry Manager or similar role in a luxury hotel/resort.
• Strong knowledge of Laundry operations.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets and financial plans, and to analyse and interpret financial data.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound business decisions.
• Proficiency in housekeeping management software, Opera, and Microsoft Office.
