Position

As the HR Manager for GIVENCHY within Fashion Group Japan, our mission is to partner with brand leadership and team members to achieve business objectives through strategic human resource management. We are committed to developing and implementing HR initiatives that align with GIVENCHY's goals, working closely with our HQ HR team and the LVMH HR community in Japan. Our focus is on managing talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational development, performance management, and training to foster a positive work environment and attract top talent, driving the growth and success of GIVENCHY.

Job responsibilities

General Human Resources

  • Continuously review and update HR-related standards, policies, and programs to ensure ongoing compliance with both business requirements and governmental laws and regulations. Collaborate with the Fashion Group (FG) HR function as necessary to align local practices with group-wide standards.
  • In retail, maximize performance by leveraging relevant data and analytics to identify improvement opportunities. Foster a high-motivation environment through clear goal setting, such as establishing KPIs and incentive programs, ensuring all team members understand expectations and rewards.
  • Develop and monitor the annual budget for both office and store operations, including meticulous tracking of labor and other HR-related costs. This enables the business to allocate resources efficiently and adapt quickly to market changes.
  • Facilitate the sharing of organizational and business information with the Fashion Group to promote cohesive operations and a unified culture.
  • Proactively participate in HR initiatives from LVMH and the Fashion Group to ensure alignment with broader HR strategies and to capitalize on best practices and shared resources.

Talent Acquisition

  • Develop comprehensive recruiting strategies tailored to meet evolving business needs and oversee the entire recruitment cycle. This includes sourcing, interviewing, selecting, and onboarding candidates.
  • Ensure vacant positions are filled promptly with candidates who possess the right skills and are a strong cultural fit, thereby supporting both immediate operational requirements and long-term organizational growth.

Employee Relations

  • Establish and recommend employee relations practices that foster a positive employer-employee relationship, supporting high morale and motivation across all teams.
  • Manage employee communications and feedback channels to understand current needs and address issues related to both attracting and retaining top talent.
  • Resolve HR-related issues promptly and fairly, maintaining a supportive and compliant work environment.

Organization Development & Performance Management

  • Lead effective Performance Management Reviews (PCR), talent assessments, succession planning (Organization Management Review, OMR), and Individual Compensation Reviews (ICR) for brands such as GIVENCHY.
  • Regularly evaluate the organizational structure based on current and future business needs, driving necessary transformation to ensure continued competitiveness.
  • Monitor and support the implementation of performance improvement processes for non-performing employees, ensuring all staff are equipped to meet expectations.

Training and Development

  • Develop and oversee the organizational training strategy, ensuring its effective implementation and assessment.
  • For office and store managers, plan induction training for new hires and create individualized training and development plans that address specific needs and expectations.
  • In retail, work closely with the retail team to ensure a smooth onboarding process and deliver necessary training to support ongoing development and performance.
