Position

The Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and transparent financial records, with a primary focus on General Ledger activities. This position manages core accounting processes, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting, providing critical support for financial analysis and decision-making.

Job responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger maintenance
  • Perform month-end and period-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Maintain accurate accounting records for inventory, fixed assets, bank accounts, and other balance sheet items
  • Review and monitor key operating expenses, including cost allocations and revenue recognition entries
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, schedules, and Group reporting for management and business analysis
  • Partner with cross-finance, and business operations teams to support financial accuracy and reporting needs
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, company policies, and internal controls
  • Support internal and external audits, statutory reporting, and tax filing requirements
  • Identify and implement process improvements using ERP systems and BI tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Support ad hoc finance projects, system enhancements, and business process optimization initiatives

Profile

  • Degree in Accounting, and/or professional certification (e.g. ACCA, CA, CPA)
  • 4-6 years of experience in an accounting or audit role
  • Knowledge of internal controls and regulatory compliance
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as applicable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle routine accounting matters.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring integrity and reliability of financial reporting
  • Good team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions
