Position
As the HR Controlling Manager for the HR Regional Hub, you will be the primary point of contact for payroll controlling, budgeting, and reporting across LVMH Fashion Group Americas (Celine, Fendi, Givenchy, Kenzo, Loewe, and Pucci in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil). You will take ownership of managing payroll actuals, developing strategic budgets, and delivering headcount reporting for both local and global teams, seamlessly consolidating data across all Maisons and countries. A critical aspect of this role involves developing, maintaining, and supporting various reports to positively impact HR and Finance partners, ensuring accurate numerical data, clear drivers, and effective commentary on significant changes.
Key Responsibilities
Controlling
• Manage Payroll actuals, including, but not limited to:
• Accurate posting of payroll entries by company, department, and account;
• Alignment with accounting teams on monthly and yearly accruals for bonus, Company Match True-Ups, Automatic Employer Contributions, et cetera;
• Consolidation of Payroll actuals for all brands and countries, with explanation of major drivers on relevant variances vs BU/R1/R2;
• Reporting of payroll actuals to brands’ HQs, with comments for major drivers on relevant variances vs BU/R1/R2.
• Payroll cost reporting to Local and HQ partners, including bridges vs previous versions and/or previous periods, including comments, bridges, and any supporting analysis to explain major changes.
• Funding for 401(k)/RSP, including the use of any available forfeiture funds, of all Fidelity (USA) & Sun Life (CAN) contribution files, as needed.
• Develop a deep understanding of the nature of employee data within a variety of HR systems, applying this knowledge to cross-reference data, so to explain the story behind the numbers; bringing transparency and clarity to all stakeholders.
Budgeting
• Develop payroll budgets and strategic plans (BU/R1/R2, strat plan, et cetera) as needed, in partnership with brands’ leaders, HRBPs, HQs, and Finance teams.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the key cost drivers associated with payroll, such as salaries, bonuses, commissions, 401(k) contributions/pensions, clothing allowances, fringe benefits, social charges, and dismissal charges.
Reporting
• Prepare all, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports, as required by Maison HQ & Finance, including, but not limited to:
• Monthly HC reporting in ADP;
• Monthly HC Excel reporting to HR & Finance teams;
• “Annual Social Report”.
• Ensure proper alignment with Maison HQ on HC reporting rules for HC, FTE, and employee/departments classification.
General Support
• Support the development of budgeting tools (e.g.: Allshare), and any other files and templates to reduce workload and increase automation, minimizing errors and manual work.
• Support HR and other relevant teams on ad-hoc requests related to payroll cost and HC reporting, including, but not limited to: bridges, variance analysis, presentation decks, et cetera.
• Work collaboratively with the HR team and other cross functional partners, to identify solutions and process improvement recommendations, execute changes and implement new processes and tools, as agreed.
• Compile data and assist and/or prepare business and government reports as required.
• Validate and oversee processes handled by the HR Finance Analyst.
Profile
Qualifications• 5+ years of experience in HR Controlling, Finance, or similar functions.
• Proficient in Excel, with the ability to manage large datasets and multiple budget iterations efficiently.
• Ability to cross-reference data from multiple sources, identifying cause and consequence, and to use visuals and oral communication to present and explain figures to HR, Finance and other business’ stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and discretion to manage confidential data is critical.
• Aptitude to work independently and proactively, as well to coach and develop direct report.
• Familiarity with HR processes, systems and tools is a plus.
• Ability to shuffle competing priorities while communicating and driving quality results.
