Position

The Store Director is the owner of the business, a FENDI Brand Ambassador and a business leader, accountable for overall store performance. The managing of the store, employees, merchandise and supporting activities with the goal to achieve store targets and will lead to positive experiences for the internal and external clients.  

Responsibilities: 

Business Development and Performance Management: 

Drive and improve sales performance for overall business. 

Analyze the business, propose, and implement action plans to improve results. 

Develop a sales strategy, working cross-functionally with corporate partners. 

Market authority, identifying new opportunities to attract and retain clients. 

Develop and deliver events and incentives to grow the business. 

Work closely with the merchandising team to ensure that appropriate stock and assortment levels are met. 

Make recommendations for store renovations, upgrades and expansion to increase sales and market share. 

Be present on the sales floor, continuously empower sales staff to meet assigned sales through an authentic client experience and communicate goal expectations. 

Partner with the Retail Events Office for the organization of local events. 

Client Management: 

Lead customer service quality, to meet customer expectations by offering excellent customer service standards and leading by example amongst the team. 

Develop dedicated Fendi customers, implement appropriate CRM tools and maintain customer database. 

Act as brand ambassador to strengthen/establish relationships with VIP clientele/prospect customers. 

Develop a strong private appointment culture. 

Administrative & Operations Management: 

Ensure alignment between front of house and back of house. 

Complete all vital administrative paperwork in a timely manner. 

Control daily invoices petty cash and take vital actions to efficiently control costs and ensure efficient operation in store. 

Review and submit sales and operational reports to management in adherence to company’s KPIs and policies. 

Ensure maintenance of cycle counts, inventory accuracy and shrink requirements. 

Visual Merchandising: 

Make the best out of the display and proximity storage. 

Know the best sellers and have them on display all the time. 

Work with local freelancers to achieve goals of impactful window installations and displays 

Team Management: 

Build an encouraging and positive team dynamic to develop and empower staff through goal setting, performance monitoring, monthly catch-up meetings and storewide meetings in order to mentor and deliver timely feedback. 

Ensure all Top Store initiatives are rolled out, updated, and understood by the team. 

Attract and recruit the best talent available in the market through networking and scouting. 

Proactively assess performance and growth potential of individual staff members to build a strong team benchmark and promote career paths. 

Identify individual and team training needs. 

Additional information

Qualifications: 

10 Years of proven experience, luxury retail preferred. 

Strong drive for results; goal oriented. 

Excellent social skills: the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. 

Ability to use POS system and its inventory management functions. 

RTW experience preferred. 

Foreign language skills are a plus. 

Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 

Ability to work in a team environment.  

Ability to lift boxes/weight up to 10 lbs. 

Organizational skills and strong digital literacy required. 

Flexible availability, some nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Fendi Maison was established by Adele and Edoardo Fendi in Rome in 1925. The opening of the first Fendi boutique – a handbag shop and fur workshop followed. Soon winning international acclaim, Fendi emerged as a brand renowned for its elegance, craftsmanship, innovation and style. Called by the legendary five Fendi sisters, the collaboration with the late Karl Lagerfeld began back in 1965 and lasted 54 years. In 1992, Silvia Venturini Fendi seconded him in the Artistic Direction; in 1994, she is given the direction of Accessories and later of Menswear. In 2000, the LVMH group acquires Fendi becoming in 2001 its majority shareholder. Appointed in 2020, Kim Jones held the role of Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear until 2024. Since 2020, Delfina Delettrez Fendi, fourth generation of the Fendi family, is Artistic Director of Jewellery. Today Fendi is synonymous with quality, tradition, experimentation and creativity.
