Position

The Accounting Finance Transformation Manager will oversee accounting workflows through the adoption of advanced technologies, including automation and artificial intelligence. This position contributes to leads and optimizes day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and scalability of financial process. The role actively drives process transformation, not only delivers reliable financial reporting.

The position is based at Rome HQ.

Job responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

Operational Accounting & Process Optimization:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, reconciliations and month-end close.
  • Ensure accurate recognition of revenues, expenses and accruals in line with accounting standards.
  • Evaluate and improve accounting processes, leveraging automation and AI-driver tools to increase efficiency, reduce manual effort and minimize errors.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline and standardize workflows, improving cycle times and data quality.
  • Supervise budgeting and forecasting activities within the accounting perimeter.

 

Compliance & Internal Control:

  • Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations and company policies.
  • Support internal & external audit processes through accurate, transparent and well- documented financial data

 

Financial Reporting & Data-Driven Insights:

  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, variance analyses and management commentary.
  • Transform complex financial data into actionable insights to support business decision-making.
  • Enhance reporting capabilities through digital tools and data analytics platforms.
  • Act as a change agent in driving digital transformation within the finance function and other stakeholders.

 

Profile

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar management position within an international group, preferably in luxury retail.
  • Fluency in English and Italian.
  • Strong proficiency in SAP/4HANA; PowerBI
  • Automation Systems & AI.
  • Strong financial acumen, risk awareness, and expert in financial regulations and compliance, with experience financial accounting & reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and team management experience.

The Fendi Maison was established by Adele and Edoardo Fendi in Rome in 1925. The opening of the first Fendi boutique – a handbag shop and fur workshop followed.
