The Retail Operations & Inventory Manager (Maternity cover) is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of store operations. This role involves overseeing stock accuracy, back-of-house organization, store operational guidelines, and the provisioning process for uniforms, packaging, and other assets necessary for the selling ceremony. The Retail Operations & Inventory Manager plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence and supporting the overall retail strategy. This role reports to the Head of Global Retail Operations and is part of the global Retail Excellence team.

This is a fixed-term position to cover a maternity leave (from now until end of 2026), with a focus on ensuring continuity of operations, accurate reporting, and smooth stakeholder coordination from day one.

Job responsibilities

Your role will be:

  • Ensure day-to-day retail operational excellence by owning store provisioning flows (uniforms, packaging, and other selling ceremony/BOH assets), stock accuracy, and store operational guidelines.
  • Own and orchestrate end‑to‑end cross‑department processes related to the provisioning of uniforms, packaging, and other store assets, acting as the operational single point of contact between several departments and Regions. Anticipate upcoming drops/changes, lock forecasts, chase confirmations, track deliveries, and actively manage exceptions (delays, quality, missing items).
  • Monitor and analyze operational KPI and targets to identify areas for improvement, ensuring proper monitoring flow at store, regional and global levels.
  • Assist in the implementation of operational strategies and initiatives (i.e. contribute to store handbook/operating guidelines and BOH organization).
  • Familiar with stock management processes (cycle counts, stock receptions, transfers, etc.) and able to suggest amendments and improvements to existing procedures.
  • Coordinate activities between regional teams, internal departments and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of operational projects and consistent store support.

 

Profile

What is important for the role:

  • 4+ years of experience in Retail Operations, Supply Chain and/or Inventory Management.
  • Ability to ramp up quickly, work with autonomy, and ensure continuity during handover and throughout the cover period.
  • Strong analytical skills; advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI (or equivalent BI tool) for KPI monitoring and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of execution; process- and client-oriented mindset.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills; able to handle multiple requests and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • High degree of integrity, reliability and ownership; comfortable making decisions within an agreed framework and escalating when needed.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with internal teams and to manage external partners and vendors.
  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently and drive topics to closure.
  • Fluent English is required. Spanish, French or Italian are a plus.
