Position

Reporting to the VP of HR North America, the Sr HR Business Partner will provide expertise and support for leadership coaching, performance management, and associate relations. As the primary contact for our store teams, this role builds strong partnerships with people managers and employees with the primary goal of developing high performance teams and ensuring our company values are at the forefront of how we work together. Fair resolution of employee relations matters, identifying and addressing trends in turn-over, and recommending training and development opportunities are key components of success. In addition, this position is responsible for compliance to federal, state, and local U.S. labor laws and supports driving equitable compensation practices.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and discuss organizational needs, putting action plans in place to drive business results and career growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with broader HR team on key projects/initiatives and successful company-wide implementations
  • Support and champion employee engagement and recognition programs across store locations
  • Support and provide guidance on all employee life-cycle HR processes (selection process through exit)
  • Continuously assess training and development needs for bench strength and succession planning
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure consistent, positive candidate experiences during the interview and selection process
  • Ensure legal compliance to all applicable federal, state, and local requirements
  • Conducting fair and timely investigations, consistent documentation, and recommendations
  • Lead all employee relations processes, partnering with VP HR and LVMH legal counsel as needed
  • Oversee the implementation of fair and consistent coaching, counseling, and performance improvement plans
  • Manage exit process to state and local requirements
  • Ensure people managers are supported during all exit conversations (voluntary and involuntary), escalating matters as needed
  • Support the exit interview process and may conduct exit interviews as necessary
  • Develop, maintain and analyze meaningful people metrics and KPI dashboards
  • Consistent tracking by Leader; by mo/qtr/half/yr; by state and area of business
  • Identify trends in hiring and turnover, FTE productivity, and total costs of labor (FTE OT & temp)
  • Provide guidance and recommendations by area
  • Ensure monthly update of organization charts and Head Count accuracy (FTEs)
  • Forecasting open positions (according to budget) for timely recruitment efforts
  • Tracking temp labor coverage in stores as may be necessary for business continuity
  • Manage budget and PO’s according to budget
  • Responsible for the management of the company’s annual performance review process and 30/60/90-day new hire review process
  • Conduct individual touch base meetings with people managers and team meetings to strengthen skillsets

Profile

Skills and Abilities Required

  • Strong mediation and documentation skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proven multi-state Employee Relations experience (NY & CA required)
  • Understanding of a commission driven sales environment
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, fact-based problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Comfort in providing and receiving direct feedback, while conveying empathy and positive intent
  • Ability to build trust, work collaboratively, and build effective business partnerships
  • Ability to manage change and navigate through ambiguity
  • Proficient in using ATS and HRIS systems and reporting
  • Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to travel as needed (10-20%)
  • 6+ years of experience in HR generalist/ business partner capacity
  • Master or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Canada and LATAM experience is a plus

While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, Loro Piana reserves the right to pay outside of the published salary range of $130,000.00 to $155,000.00 USD per year.
