Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Raw Material Purchasing Coordinator to oversee the procurement of accessories, yarns, leathers, and fabrics for our RTW and Knitwear divisions. The role demands a strong focus on negotiation, suppliers management, and strategic sourcing to ensure the timely acquisition of high-quality materials at competitive prices. The successful candidate will lead a team, drive purchasing decisions through data analysis, and collaborate closely with various internal departments and external suppliers.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead negotiations for prices and terms with raw material suppliers, including accessories, yarns, leathers, and fabrics;
  • Actively challenge suppliers on rebates and special discounts to optimize cost savings;
  • Negotiate and validate prices and minimum order quantities;
  • Manage and cultivate strong relationships with a global network of raw material suppliers for RTW and Knitwear;
  • Share supplier performance insights with the development teams to validate existing suppliers and recommend new ones as needed;
  • Conduct supplier performance analysis and present KPI results to suppliers and internal colleagues;
  • Challenge suppliers on delivery timelines and manage quality issues with both suppliers and internal teams;
  • Act as a key interface with our yarns and fabric internal production teams for complex quality issues;
  • Plan blind orders in close collaboration with the Finished Product Planning and Merchandise teams;
  • Coordinate raw material replenishment and book production capacity with suppliers through dedicated meetings;
  • Perform MRP analysis to ensure optimal stock levels;
  • Conduct stock analysis and manage re-use initiatives/stock sales;
  • Create comprehensive reports and presentations to guide management decisions, providing insightful data and strategic recommendations;
  • Conduct budget and forecast analysis to support the Controlling Department;
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of purchasing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment;
  • Collaborate with the Sustainability Department on LVMH analyses;
  • Participate in LVMH coordination meetings.

Profile

  • Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field;
  • Proven experience in raw material purchasing, preferably within the luxury fashion or textile industry;
  • Proven expertise in negotiation and supplier relationship management;
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights, creating professional reports and presentations;
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills;
  • Familiarity with MRP systems and inventory management principles;
  • Knowledge of PowerBI, and presentation and data analysis tools;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Ability to travel as required.
