Position

Reporting to the General Manager Louis Vuitton Middle East, The Retail Director is a key leadership role responsible for driving sales, profitability, and brand excellence across Louis Vuitton's retail network in Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan.

This role involves developing and implementing strategic plans, managing store operations, leading and developing retail teams, ensuring exceptional client experiences, and maintaining our Company’s standards. The Retail Director will also be responsible for building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including landlords, suppliers, and internal departments.

The role is based in Doha, Qatar.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement retail strategies to achieve sales targets, maximize profitability, and enhance our Maison presence in Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client behavior to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
    • Set clear objectives and performance indicators for store managers and retail teams.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Recruit, train, and develop high-performing store managers and retail teams.
    • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
    • Identify and develop future leaders within the retail organization.
  • Client Experience:
    • Ensure that all stores deliver exceptional client experiences that are consistent with Louis Vuitton's brand values.
    • Implement and monitor clienteling programs to build client loyalty.
    • Address and resolve client complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Store Operations Management:
    • Oversee all aspects of store operations, including sales, client service, inventory management, visual merchandising, and security.
    • Ensure compliance with Louis Vuitton's operational policies and procedures.
    • Manage store budgets and control expenses.

Stakeholder Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, suppliers, and internal departments (e.g., marketing, merchandising, HR).
    • Negotiate lease agreements and manage landlord relationships.
    • Collaborate with marketing to develop and implement marketing campaigns.

 

Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • More than 10 years of experience in retail management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and profitability in a luxury retail environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent understanding of retail operations, client service, and visual merchandising.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
