Position

Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking a Sr. Manager- Public Relations (Men's & Women's) who will be responsible for delivering the PR strategy for all product categories (Ready-to-Wear (RTW), Leather Goods (LG), Shoes, Accessories) in the Women’s and Men’s universe by building brand & product awareness in the target client group through national and regional media. The main responsibilities include promoting Louis Vuitton’s image and specific products by ensuring maximum editorial coverage in appropriate magazines, developing key messages for the North American market, implementing effective press strategies that encompass national, regional and online media outlets.

In addition, develop and executive strategies surrounding key Louis Vuitton global focuses in North American media outlets while ensuring that they are in line with brand values.

Job responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Maintain relationships with women’s & men's editors and stylists in North America to enhance brand awareness.
  • Meet regularly with regional teams to understand the most effective ways to support stores in each area through regional magazine, newspapers and online press.
  • Work closely with Corporate PR Team on corporate projects when placement is needed in Women’s publications.
  • Communicate with Paris office on sample availability on a daily basis.
  • Attend women’s and men’s shows 2-4x yearly in Paris to manage press. Other international and national travel as well.
  • Work with PR Director to create and implement strategies for new product launches and major initiatives as well as strategic press plans for each region.
  • Oversee organization of entire runway show: seating, photographers, and backstage confirmations for Paris Collections.
  • Responsible for presenting Cruise & Prefall Collections along with all new products to the press, working closely with the Special Events team to coordinate the presentations.
  • Meet regularly with the Merchandising team to have a full understanding of new product launches and timelines in order to execute press strategies when inventory arrives at the stores.
  • Oversee and coordinate all Women’s and Men’s national and regional press requests with the help of 2 PR Manager’s and PR Assistants for all Women’s and Men’s product categories.
  • Work closely with Women’s and Men’s publications to gain maximum editorial exposure, secure covers and pitch feature stories.

Profile

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned public relations professional with a minimum of 10+ years of demonstrable experience within the high-end fashion or luxury goods sector. A deep and current understanding of the luxury retail landscape, including emerging trends, key influencers, and competitive dynamics, is essential. The candidate should possess a proven track record of successfully developing and executing strategic PR campaigns that enhance brand reputation, drive consumer engagement, and generate measurable results within the luxury market.

Exceptional communication skills are paramount. The candidate must possess the ability to articulate ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively, both verbally and in writing, across diverse settings and to various audiences, including senior management, media representatives, industry stakeholders, and internal teams. They should be adept at crafting compelling narratives that resonate with the target demographic and effectively communicate the brand's unique value proposition.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Hands-on experience with PR management software and media monitoring tools is key. A strong understanding of digital PR strategies and tactics is also highly desirable.

The candidate should exhibit elevated and sophisticated communication skills, reflecting the brand's commitment to excellence and refinement. They must demonstrate self and team composure, particularly when navigating high-pressure situations or managing sensitive communications. The ability to provide constructive insight, foster trust, and support the professional development of team members is crucial for success in this role. Furthermore, a proactive and solutions-oriented approach, coupled with a strong work ethic and a passion for the luxury industry, is essential.

The appointed candidate will be offered an annual salary within the range of USD $150,000 - $160,000, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.

The position requires 4 days per week on site in the Louis Vuitton Corporate Office, located in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan.
