Position
As a Louis Vuitton Human Resources Director, you will be an ambassador of the Brand. This vital role will partner with the local Regional & Retail Management leadership teams in accomplishing strategic & commercial objectives through the optimization of work force & HR planning. While ensuring that business decisions focus on recruiting, retaining, developing top caliber talent for the business, you will further promote our brand as an employer of choice across the marketplace.
With an agile approach, you will provide both strategic support and guidance to the business ensuring that our teams are fully aware and trained on their HR legal obligations & responsibilities. This role will also lead initiatives & activities relating to employee reviews, head count, staff costs, as well as other projects deployed by the Brand.
Job responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop Managers to ensure their teams deliver the Louis Vuitton Promise to staff and clients, through support with consistent coaching, identify their development and training needs, and those of their team, to tailor individual action plans
- Drive innovation and business growth by building a culture of engagement and high performance, while increasing productivity and retention; Coach and educate managers on conflict resolution, performance management, coaching teams, effective communication & teamwork.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and compliance with LV policies & procedures and their communication to the employees
- Partner with Internal Communications on rollout of communication to the region when needed
Self & Team Development:
- Manage and administer the Performance Career Review (RISE) campaign (annual performance appraisal and merit review); ensure teams are maximizing the effectiveness of the tool to further support, develop and drive their team’s performances.
- Manage and administer the Organizational Management Review (OMR) to ensure the identification, development, succession and retention of talent in the organization.
- Work closely with the Director of Talent Development, SVP of HR, and other Regional HR Leaders to maximize succession planning & development for the wider team.
- Identify key training needs and work with the Director of Talent Acquisition and Retail Training to develop and implement innovative and effective strategies across the Region
Delivering Excellence:
- Lead the Regional Talent Acquisition Manager in developing the talent acquisition plan for all retail and regional office management positions; efficiently source & recruit the best candidate while ensuring an inclusive candidate experience at all stages of the recruitment process.
- Advise and coach Managers on employee relations cases and ensuring that the cases are handled in line with company policies and local legislation.
- Manage complex ER investigations ensuring they are conducted thoroughly and comply with all company and local legislation.
- In partnership with the C&B Director ensure the ICR (Individual Compensation Review) is completed on an annual basis
- Work in partnership with the C&B department to ensure that employees are paid accurately in addition to ensuring all staff benefits are administered in line with local legislation.
Profile
Experience:
- HR Management: Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in a senior HR role, with a focus on employee relations, talent management, and leadership development.
- Retail Experience: Prior experience working in a retail environment is highly preferred, with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities specific to the retail industry.
- Leadership & Coaching: Excellent coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to develop managers and their teams. Proven ability to build a high-performance, engaged work environment.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Employee Relations: Expertise in handling complex employee relations issues, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local legislation. Conflict resolution skills are essential.
- Performance Management: Deep understanding of performance management processes, including performance appraisals, merit reviews, and development planning.
- Talent Management & Succession Planning: Ability to identify, develop, and retain talent within the organization. Experience with succession planning processes and tools.
- HR Compliance: Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws. Experience ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop solutions to improve HR processes and outcomes.
- Collaboration & Partnership: Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders, including HR Business Partners, Talent Development, Compensation & Benefits, and Internal Communications.
- Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Additional information
The basic salary for this role is $165k - $185k (depending on experience) plus package.
