Position

Louis Vuitton is seeking a passionate Merchandising Associate to join our Merchandising team based in New York City. As a Louis Vuitton Merchandising Associate, you will be an integral member of the Women’s Universe supporting the Women’s Leather Goods Director in executing the merchandising strategy and driving the overall Women’s Leather Goods business in the Americas. As an Associate, you should possess a strong product sensibility and ability to develop knowledge of competitive landscape and trends. ​

Job responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

The primary responsibilities of this role include generating sales reports and summaries, developing product support materials, and coordinating product launches. Additional duties encompass managing sample inventory, conducting regular competitive pricing analysis, organizing regional retail meetings, and providing comprehensive administrative support to the team.

Sales Reporting​

  • Under guidance of Director work to generate weekly and monthly sales reporting for Women’s leather goods that recap the business, compile reports recaps as needed to distribute to internal stakeholders​
  • Prepare store performance recaps and seek to improve current reporting processes by increasing efficiency​
  • Offer solution-oriented support to Regional Merchandiser and store teams on a daily basis​

Retail Support: ​

  • Occasionally manage communication flow internally including monthly merchandising calls

Product Tools: ​

  • Partner with merchandising Managers to create and update excel/power point/web-based tools for stores or merch team that include product launch plans, launching updates, Transversal & LG modelarios and product books; manage the shipping of both Paris and Zone tools
  • Support merch team in building assortment by store & quarterly tools.​

Business Strategy​

  • Under guidance of manager, oversee specific product lines within the Women’s Leather goods category
  • Coordinate new product launches across merchandising departments​

Profile

The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years of merchandising experience and demonstrate strong analytical capabilities. A passion for the luxury retail sector, coupled with comprehensive knowledge of its products, is essential. Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint, are a must. The candidate should also exhibit outstanding communication and influence skills, with the ability to present ideas effectively in both verbal and written formats. Being organized, detail-oriented, and knowledge of French are a big plus.

The appointed candidate will be offered a salary range within USD $80,000 – 85,000, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.

The position requires 4 days per week on site in the Louis Vuitton Corporate Office, located in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan.
