Position

Louis Vuitton is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our Supply Chain team based in New York City. As a Supply Chain Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our distribution planning and efficiency through the development of analytical tools. You will create and maintain tools to provide clear distribution visibility for new product launches and monitor the causes of overstock, enabling data-driven inventory management improvements. Additionally, you will create automated reporting systems that inform distribution managers of potential overstock situations, enabling timely and effective responses to maximize sales opportunities.

Job responsibilities

Drive Continuous Improvement:

  • Develop a comprehensive analytical tool that provides distribution planners with clear visibility into new product launches – This tool will standardize our view of distribution efficiency across diverse categories and regions, enabling proactive planning and ensuring successful product launches with optimized distribution strategies.
  • Develop a user-friendly tool to monitor and analyze the root cause for overstock situations, enabling data-driven inventory management improvements.
  • Design and implement automated reporting systems to alert distribution managers on high overstock products, facilitating timely interventions to maximize sales opportunities.

Lead Data Projects:

  • Establish guidelines for Power BI workspace management, access control, and report creation, ensuring data integrity and security across the organization.
  • Spearhead the migration of existing analytical tools to a centralized data semantic model, enhancing the consistency and reliability of reporting across the team and globally.

Provide Analytical Support:

Offer ad-hoc analytical support to the team, addressing critical business questions

Profile

We are excited to speak to undergraduate/graduate students, with interest in Supply chain working independently and cross functionally across internal and external partners. We welcome applicants with high level of curiosity, an innovative mindset, detail oriented and clear communication skills. Ideal candidates will possess a strong technical skillset in PowerBI and data analytics, complemented by exceptional organizational and analytical capabilities. Proficiency in Advanced Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Python is essential. Familiarity with Spanish and French a plus.

Compensation

  • Undergraduate Interns will be compensated at: $20/hour
  • Graduate Interns will be compensated at $25/hour

 

Criteria

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate/graduate student pursuing a degree in related field of study
  • Able and willing to work at assigned location or able and willing to relocate to NYC
  • We are open to full-time availability to start ASAP for a 6-month duration.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US

 

The position requires 4 to 5 days per week on site in the Louis Vuitton Corporate Office, located in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan.
