Position

Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking a 3-month seasonal Associate Distribution Planner to join our Supply Chain team based in New York City. As a key member of the Supply Chain team, you will contribute to the management of regional distribution, exceptional flows, and zone transfers for products across the Americas zone. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and organizational skills who can ensure timely and accurate delivery of product to maximize sales potential while supporting the Maison's image and retail objectives.

Job responsibilities

Regional Distribution

  • Support regional distribution strategies, ensuring alignment with merchandising priorities and retail strategies
  • Optimize inventory and sales through replenishment strategies.
  • Proactively adjust distribution based on regional sales and stock performance.

Flow Management

  • Facilitate exceptional product flows to provide premium service to VICs
  • Oversee the Made-to-Order (MTO) process, guaranteeing seamless reception from central fulfillment to the client
  • Partner with central distribution for zone transfers to optimize inventory and minimize depreciation.

Analysis & Optimization

  • Monitor sales, stock coverage, and replenishment needs to optimize sell-through, MOC, and RFR %
  • Report and analyze distribution performance, identifying successes and opportunities.
  • Support continuous optimization of distribution flows

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Supply Chain counterparts to ensure cohesive operations within regional scope
  • Collaborate with Merchandising to translate buy decisions into accurate distribution plans
  • Support Retail in ensuring product availability for daily operations, new store launches, events, and client activations.

Innovation & Agility

  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements to streamline distribution workflows
  • Maintain agility to respond to last-minute adjustments in stock needs, event demands, and market dynamics
  • Support ad hoc projects and special initiatives across categories

Profile

We are excited to connect with highly analytical and experienced professional with 3+ years of experience within distribution, allocation or supply chain. The ideal candidate will have a proven background, ideally within a luxury or fashion retail setting. Strong analytical skills are essential, with the ability to convert business data into actionable strategies. Expertise in the luxury retail sector is highly valued. Advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL is required, while Python skills are a significant asset. This opportunity requires excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities, alongside a strong capacity for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder influence. Attention to detail, strong sense of ownership, accuracy, and follow-through are key attributes for this role.

The appointed candidate will be offered a salary range of USD $80,000 to $85,000, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.
