The Retail Performance Director focuses on collaboratively working with the store management teams, the regional and the corporate teams on improving business performance through a 360 strategy. The Retail Performance Director is the “go to” person on all store standard front of house procedures. Through innovative and effective problem-solving skills and techniques the Retail Performance Director supports the stores in their day-to-day delivery of the exceptional service to our clients and operational activities, with a special attention to resources optimization, allowing the retail teams to focus on driving sales while enhancing the Client Experience.
The Retail Performance Director will also support the regions and store teams to improve the service and the retail efficiency through workshop and analytical study.
Job responsibilities
Business Insights and Performance
- Be the point of contact for retail analytics, proposing a 360 view to each level with a proposed action plan to support the brand priorities
- Monitor sales performance, retail KPIs, non-selling activities, team structures & FTE and identify solutions in order to drive business performance
- Support RVP/Country Manager in setting annual retail goals and objectives and monitor/drive progress, set bonus targets, assist Store & Team Managers in setting goals for their teams through company tools
- Manage and Build BI tool to simplify and ease regions and stores reporting
- Controllables Budget (work with finance to set by store/region/country budget, monitor and analysis of actuals + reallocation of budget when necessary)
- Competition (compile and communicate to executive team monthly competition database)
- Partner with HR & finance on Bonus Schemes, Commission
Drive Performance
- Monitor and drive optimal scheduling in all regions (Match to Traffic, Workforce Management, etc.)
- Work in partnership with finance on the FTE budget to distribute by store/region/country based on productivity and monitor/follow up/reallocate with regions monthly
- Lead FTE planning sessions with HR and RVP/Country Manager to optimize productivity and enhance client experience. Follow up with action plan proposal.
- Work closely with the Retail Learning community to identify actions to support our agile business needs and ensure each store is equipped with a 360 vision of the business which continuously supports elevating the in-store Client Experience
- Lead & inspire the RD community through the creation of an individualized store approach in order to drive business performance and ensure action plans are implemented, adapted and followed
- Collaborate with the Regional Operations Director and Regional RODs in animating BOH efficiency and improve retail operations
- Lead and plan activities in store to deliver client service results with full support of regional teams and corporate departments
Project Management
- UKG Scheduling Tool – roll out, updates, trainings, resources, etc
- Uniforms & Hot stamps : Manage the yearly buying , reorders & distribution for LVA, Set yearly/monthly budget in partnership with finance, monitor monhtly and reallocate as needed
- Work with all corporate partners on designing, piloting and rolling out innovative retail tools Proactively drive LVA filtration efforts ensuring streamlined effective communications and processes
- Managing any new retail tasks process (ie: Peak season, Compass, etc)
- Organize projects and execute business initiatives (e.g. ex. store incentives, Art of Hosting)
- Store Projects (New stores/relocation/MMW/Reno) work with store planning, merch, finance on sales forecast for SOP and any retail topics
Retail Directors Community
- Support and advice the RD community in achieving their goals

The appointed candidate will be offered an annual salary within the range of USD $170,000 - $215,000, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.

The position requires 4 days per week on site in the Louis Vuitton Corporate Office, located in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan.
