Position

For over 170 years, Louis Vuitton has stood at the forefront of luxury, defined by audacity, innovation, and an uncompromising pursuit of excellence. Today, Louis Vuitton remains a global leader within the LVMH Group, shaping the future of luxury through visionary leadership, client devotion, and a spirit that never stops exploring.

Louis Vuitton is undertaking a significant transformation of its payroll infrastructure across Australia and New Zealand. As we move to a new system and navigate a concurrent EBA process, we are looking for a highly experienced Payroll Project Manager to sit at the centre of it all, supporting us for a 12 month contract.

This is not a business-as-usual payroll role. It calls for someone who can operate in ambiguity, bring rigour to a system still being defined, and communicate complex award and EBA matters to both frontline employees and senior leaders with equal confidence.

Job responsibilities

You will support the design and configuration of our incoming payroll system from the tendering phase through to implementation, working closely with our HR team and external vendors. Alongside this, you will play a key role in our Enterprise Bargaining Agreement process -supporting modelling, interpretation, and stakeholder communications throughout. You will also take ownership of payroll reporting - improving existing monthly and quarterly reporting cycles and lifting the standard of processes and outputs to match the scale of the transformation underway.

Profile

You bring deep, hands-on payroll expertise in the retail industry, with strong working knowledge of the General Retail Industry Award (GRIA) and Clerks Award. Specifically, you offer:

  • Proven experience navigating an EBA process — you can hold informed, empathetic conversations about award application and entitlements with employees and people leaders alike
  • Advanced Excel capability — you think in formulas, models, and pivot tables
  • Experience with UKG for time and attendance is highly regarded
  • A background working within or in close partnership with an HR function - not just finance - with an understanding of award interpretation, employee relations nuance, and the EQ required to handle sensitive pay conversations well
  • Retail industry experience with working knowledge of the GRIA and Clerks Award

Culture and Values

Louis Vuitton is a house built on craft, curiosity, and an unrelenting commitment to doing things with intention. We do not simply hire talent - we cultivate it. Our people are given the space to grow, to lead, and to bring their full selves to work, supported by access to global initiatives, world-class learning, and genuine pathways for progression across Louis Vuitton and the wider LVMH Group.

You will join a team of seven HR professionals reporting into the HR Director, supporting 500 employees across Australia and New Zealand and part of a global organisation of 34,000. The work is meaningful, the pace is real, and the standard is high. If you are someone who is energised by complexity, driven by detail, and understands that progress - done properly - is its own form of excellence, we would love to hear from you. Apply now and take your career somewhere extraordinary.
