Louis Vuitton is seeking a Senior Sales Audit Analyst to join our dynamic Sales Audit team based in New York City. As a Senior Analyst, you will have the opportunity to safeguard the company's financial integrity by ensuring all sales transactions, payments, and financial records are reconciled, accurately accounted for, and compliant with established policies, thereby preventing fraud and minimizing financial losses across our North and South American operations.
In this exciting role, you will meticulously match all forms of sales transactions with payments received, adeptly investigating any differences. You will verify credit card processor statements against bank deposits and record all payments in the general ledger each month. You will also collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing essential support and documentation, and work closely with our retail and corporate teams to ensure seamless financial processes. Your efforts will directly contribute to robust financial controls and strict adherence to company policies.
Job responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and reconcile freestanding and lease department store accounts.
- Investigate and resolve tender variances, escalating technical issues to the IT department via ticket submission.
- Execute timely monthly close procedures, including journal entry postings and discrepancy resolution.
- Perform accurate monthly general ledger reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of variances.
- Manage SAP account aging and clearing for accounts receivables efficiently.
- Apply monthly intercompany payments in adherence to established procedures.
- Conduct detailed receivable, fee, and accrual analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Accurately invoice internal and external customers and process payment applications.
- Provide comprehensive and organized documentation for all financial audits.
- Play a key role in a task force team addressing deposits, gift cards, and store credits.
- File and submit all necessary evidence for chargeback claims.
- Generate ad hoc reports and support special projects as needed.
Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, coupled with 4+ years of relevant experience. This role requires advanced quantitative and analytical skills, a detail-oriented approach, and the ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are essential. Experience within the retail industry or a multinational company is a plus. The successful individual will demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency in Excel, including V-lookups and Pivot Tables, is required. A working knowledge of GAAP, particularly within a retail environment, and the ability to develop further competency in this area are also necessary. Key competencies include strong time management, effective written communication, robust functional and technical skills, proficiency in managing and measuring work, organizational agility, strong presentation skills, active listening, clear informing, effective problem-solving, patience, and a commitment to self-development. Familiarity with SAP is preferred but not required.
The appointed candidate will be offered a salary range within USD $80,000 to $90,000, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.
