Position

For over 150 years, Louis Vuitton has been synonymous with excellence, visionary craftsmanship and the daring pursuit of dreams. We foster a global team of more than 34,500 individuals across 140+ nationalities – from designers and artisans to corporate and retail professionals. Our brand is built on the uniqueness of every employee, and we are committed to empowering our teams to reach their full potential.

We are seeking a Field Coach Trainer to support our New Zealand stores, based out of Sydney. With a team of over 60 passionate professionals, this role plays a pivotal part in developing talent, elevating the client experience, and driving continuous improvement across all aspects of retail excellence. You will be equally at home on the floor and online — building trust, momentum, and capability whether you are present in-store or leading remotely across the Tasman.

Job responsibilities

  • Partner with Store Managers to identify training needs and develop tailored coaching plans aligned to business goals.
  • Deliver engaging training sessions across new hire inductions, product knowledge, and clienteling best practices — both in-person and via remote channels.
  • Coach and mentor team members to drive individual growth, team cohesion, and a consistently elevated client experience.
  • Observe and support staff on the sales floor during monthly New Zealand visits, providing real-time coaching with immediate impact.
  • Maintain a consistent coaching rhythm between visits through virtual sessions, digital tools, and proactive check-ins — ensuring momentum never depends on proximity.
  • Utilise Client Voice insights to address root causes of client dissatisfaction and coach individuals toward meaningful improvement.
  • Partner with Merchandising to integrate product knowledge with selling skills, optimising KPI performance.
  • Oversee consistent onboarding and induction experiences, working closely with HR to plan proactively.
  • Maintain visibility of all training activities for Store Management, providing clear recommendations and regular feedback across all development phases.
  • Identify and nurture future training talent within the store network.

Profile

You are a confident and engaging retail professional with a passion for people development and luxury client experience. You bring a proven ability to coach, inspire and influence others — and crucially, you know how to sustain that influence from a distance.

You will demonstrate:

  • Strong experience in coaching, performance management, and training delivery within a fast-paced retail or luxury environment.
  • The ability to build genuine connection and drive behaviour change remotely — through virtual facilitation, clear communication, and consistent follow-through.
  • Proven capability in facilitation, change management, and collaboration across diverse and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Advanced product knowledge, with the ability to translate expertise into inspiring, actionable learning moments.
  • Exceptional interpersonal savviness and the ability to adapt to different communication styles and cultures.
  • Strong priority management and the self-direction to operate effectively without daily in-person oversight.
  • Confidence to influence and engage at all levels of the business.

Additional information

Working pattern

  • 5-day-a-week in-store role, with at least monthly travel to New Zealand.
  • Ongoing remote support delivered between visits via Zoom and digital coaching tools.
  • Occasional interstate travel may be required to support other stores in the network.
