Position

Louis Vuitton is seeking an IT Operations Intern to join our NEO (IT) team in New York City. As an IT Operations Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the configuration management database (CMDB) within the IT Operations function. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of configuration item (CI) data and CI relationships across infrastructure, applications, network, cloud, and end-user environments.

The IT Operations Intern will support operational effectiveness by providing accurate configuration data for incident management, problem management, change management, asset visibility, service mapping, and audit readiness. This position involves close collaboration with IT Operations, Infrastructure, Service Desk, Application Support, Security, and Asset Management teams to maintain a reliable system of record for technology services and their dependencies.

Job responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Configuration Item Management: Assist with creating, updating, and retiring configuration item records in accordance with established procedures, ensuring data is complete, accurate, and current. Perform regular data quality reviews to identify and resolve inconsistencies and maintain a reliable CMDB.
  • Configuration Management Support: Support the execution and continuous improvement of configuration management policies, standards, and procedures. Assist in maintaining documentation for CMDB processes and help onboard new services and infrastructure components into the CMDB.
  • IT Operations Assistance: Provide CMDB support for IT Operations during incidents, problems, and change management activities. Assist in identifying service dependencies for root cause analysis and enable change impact assessments by ensuring documented relationships between systems are current.
  • Data Reconciliation and Integration: Review automated discovery data and assist with the reconciliation of information from various source systems to validate alignment with CMDB records. Work with technical teams to improve integration between the CMDB and related operational tools.
  • Reporting, Governance, and Compliance: Produce regular reports and dashboards on CMDB health, completeness, and data quality trends. Support audit, risk, and compliance activities by ensuring accurate configuration records and participate in governance reviews.
  • Specific Functions Required Within the IT Operations Team: Supports with maintaining the CMDB as a trusted operational source, ensuring all IT assets are accurately recorded and supporting critical IT processes such as incident, problem, and change management through reliable data. They validate discovery outputs, coordinate data correction, and drive remediation of data quality issues to standardize CI information and support operational readiness.

Profile

We are excited to speak to candidates who possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency in Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI, and ServiceNow is highly preferred. The ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly is essential.

Compensation

  • Undergraduate Interns will be compensated at: $20/hour
  • Graduate Interns will be compensated at $25/hour

Criteria

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate/graduate student pursuing a degree in related field of study
  • Able and willing to work at assigned location or able and willing to relocate to NYC
  • We welcome candidates that can commit to 6 months on a full-time basis for up to 37.5 hours per week starting in June, 2026.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US

The position requires 4-5 days per week on site in the Louis Vuitton Corporate Office, located in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan.
