Job responsibilities

Handling of Import shipments

  1. Manage inbound transportation of merchandising shipments to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery
  2. Handle issues related to bonded transportation, missing/damaged cartons and offloaded shipment
  3. Proceed missing/damage claim to airlines, 3PL or forwarding company if necessary
  4. Submit CITES/ WILD permit for restricted products and follow up with ETA
  5. Conduct special consumption tax exemption
  6. Proceed ATA Carnet issurance and oversee export process accordingly

Import Entry Management

  1. Ensure full regulatory compliance across import shipment in accordance to split rule
  2. Understand updated trade rules and ensure correct classification (HS code)
  3. Apply FTA preferential rate and review documentation in preparation for a customs audit
  4. Verify duty & VAT savings on monthly basis
  5. Regularly perform risk assessments for import customs clearance with import broker

Vendor/ Transaction Management

  1. Review inbound processes and identify opportunities to improve leadtime
  2. Monitor in-transit orders and liase with HQ to ensure all orders are excuted
  3. Monitor customs broker performance and ensure service quality and entry accuracy

Monthly Closing

  1. Duty & VAT and vendor payment on monthly basis
  2. Bi-weekly intercompany payment
  3. Monthly duty & VAT assessment by category level

Profile

  • Min 5 years of Inbound Logistics experience
  • Retail experience preferred but not mandatory
  • BA degree or above
  • Good command of English, SAP experiences, Good knowledge of Import
  • Open minded & fast learner
