Senior Specialist - Supply Chain (6-Month Contract)

Job responsibilities

To act as a business partner for North Asia stores, orchestrating the inventory distribution for the Ready-to-Wear / Shoes / Watches & Jewelry categories. This role is central to achieving service excellence, optimizing stock quality, and driving business success through robust analytical skills, a strong commercial mindset, and deep collaboration with Merchandising, Logistics, and Retail teams.

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

  • Manage the RTW, Shoes, and Watches & Jewelry categories in collaboration with Zone Merchandising and Central Supply Chain teams.
  • Develop and maintain robust distribution processes to support business objectives, with potential transversal actions involved.
  • Oversee end-of-life and obsolete product management
  • Produce reports on Product category performances

INVENTORY DISTRIBUTION, OPTIMIZATION & FLOW MANAGEMENT

  • Partner with stores, Merchandising, and Market teams to ensure timely and appropriate inventory distribution of RTW, Shoes, and Watches & Jewelry to North Asia stores.
  • Optimize product availability by define and maintain appropriate stock targets for each store to balance inventory levels, avoiding both overstock and understock situations.
  • Support stores' turnover targets by proactively planning and assessing store requests.
  • Manage distribution flows for all product types (seasonal, carry-over, permanent) and respond to special store requests in a timely manner.
  • Determine and execute necessary reverse logistics, including rebalancing, overstock, and obsolete product flows.
  • Coordinate with the Logistics team to address transportation issues and constraints.

WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT

  • Collaborate daily with other distribution planners to manage warehouse workload capacity and arbitrate priorities.
  • Contribute to mid-term assessments of warehouse storage requirements.

FOCUS ON STOCK QUALITY AND OPTIMIZATION

  • Defines the appropriate stock targets for each store
  • Controls and manages stock levels to find the right balance while integrating Visual Merchandising's prerogatives (avoids overstock and understock)
  • Determines and implements necessary reverse flows, including Rebalancing, Overstocks, Obsoletes.

STORE OPENING / POP UP / EVENTS

  • Ensure successful preparation and logistics for store openings, pop-ups, and events by working closely with Retail, Visual Merchandising, Warehouse, RPM
  • Facilitate a clear understanding of processes for all participants involved in store openings and events.

COMMUNICATIONS

  • Builds collaborative and trusting working relationships with the markets, in order to be able to anticipate the events and seasonalities of the stores
  • Proactively share stock information, targets, and prioritization guidelines with Store Management, Logistics, Sales Administration, and Warehouse teams.

PARTICIPATION TO CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT & PROJECTS

  • Continuously seek to improve client services by ensuring commitment and support of all the teams involved (Supply Chain and Logistics team, Merchandising team, Retail Performance Management, Network, Finance, IS...)
  • Participate in global Metiers, IS, Supply Chain and Logistics process optimization and automation projects

OPERATIONS

  • Conduct regular store visits to understand operational context, gather feedback, and build trust with store teams.
  • Participate in store manager meetings when possible, to better understand market needs and improve the understanding of supply chain flows.

Profile

  • University graduate of system-related or engineering background.
  • Working experience in Retail or Supply Chain.
  • Retail-oriented with a strong interest in store activities and a commitment to partnering with Market, Warehouse, and Logistics teams.
  • Strong computer literacy (Excel, Access); adaptable to internal data management systems (e.g., MyPR, MySR, SAP, Power BI). Experience with SAP and I2 is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across functional areas and organizational levels.
  • Excellent quantitative analytical skills.
  • Highly curious, sensitive and adaptable to new ideas, people, systems and procedures.
  • A stable, balanced team player.
  • Willingness and availability to travel.
