MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THIS POSITION
One of the Maison in LVMH Group is seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Communication Director. This role will be pivotal in shaping and executing the brand's communication strategy in Japan, driving brand visibility, enhancing brand equity, and achieving ambitious business objectives. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented communication leader with a deep understanding of the luxury market, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for building and elevating luxury retail.
MISSION STATEMENT:
- Proactively lead all communication activities in Japan to enhance brand visibility and drive business results through innovative and strategic initiatives.
Job responsibilities
REPORT TO:
- Directly report to Japan President
- Functionally report to WW Head of Communication
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement the overall brand strategy and positioning for the Japan market, encompassing image, visibility, and communication across traditional and digital channels
- Define and execute a comprehensive ambassador strategy, including content development and activation plans
- Oversee the development and execution of corporate communication initiatives.
- Lead the marketing strategy planning process and the implementation of sales-driven marketing activities
- Provide strategic guidance for the development and execution of advertising campaigns
- Define and champion the digital strategy across all local communication channels
- Cultivate a robust celebrity and influencer strategy to generate buzz and engagement on key social media platforms
- Spearhead local projects and the development of customer relationship activities, leveraging platforms like LINE and coordinating with CRM, e-commerce, retail, and merchandising teams
- Nurture and maintain strong relationships with local press, maximizing editorial coverage and brand visibility
- Drive the development of innovative marketing and communication content and tools, ensuring seamless integration between digital and offline initiatives, as well as alignment with sales and IT teams
- Manage and mentor a team of communication professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
- Manage and oversee the A&P and digital marketing budgets
Profile
- Education: University Graduate
- Experience: 12+ years of progressive experience in marketing and communications, with a strong focus on the fashion industry. Proven expertise in PR, digital marketing, and/or media within luxury fashion brands is essential.
- English skill: Business level (TOEIC over 800)
- Japanese skill: Business level
- PC skill: Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Capabilities: Excellent relationships with press and deep knowledge of the fashion industry, strong business acumen, exceptional negotiation and communication skills, a collaborative team player with a proactive approach to achieving goals, and a high degree of creativity.
