Summary:

LVMH Watch & Jewelry Japan is currently seeking an analytical Senior Analyst with an independent mindset. This role is integral to providing analytical support to our top management, assisting in strategic decision-making through robust budgeting and disciplined expense control. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in financial analysis, an understanding of accounting standards, and strong communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:

Controlling & Reporting

  • Validate and analyze Sales and Margin, provide effective analysis to drive business growth.
  • Monitor and analyze sales discount & returns and provide alerts to Retail managers to maintain/improve the gross margin.
  • Review and validate sales return risk & inventory quality and provide best estimate for provisions (inventory provision, Wholesale/ Travel Retail return provision).
  • Deliver regular financial reports with precision and timeliness (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly).
  • Address ad-hoc requests from both local teams and HQ with agility and accuracy.
  • Contribute to monthly P&L analysis reports for headquarters.
  • Lead reporting for the Restaurant and Chocolate business unit, including participation in strategy meetings, preparation of P&L reports, budget files, as well as providing additional analytical support.

Planning & Forecasting Coordination

  • Oversee the planning process regarding sales forecasts, gross margin projections, inventory levels, purchasing plans — from initial budgets to revised estimates.
  • Assist in crafting comprehensive P&L statements along with presentation materials for management review.

Internal Control

  • Coordinate quarterly stock takes and monitor their execution.
  • Supervise retail operation processes to ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Implement effective internal control measures within assigned areas of responsibility.

Project Support

  • Establish solid relationships with Retail Managers; provide financial insights that facilitate operational agility aimed at fostering growth.
  • Actively participate in IT system upgrades (e.g., SAP) or other relevant projects.

Profile

Candidate Requirements    

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance or Accounting preferred.
  • Bilingual fluency in Japanese and English (both written and spoken).
  • 3~5+ years of experience as a financial analyst with multinational companies.
  • Experience in a complex environment (e.g., multiple legal entities/ multiple reporting lines) preferred.

Technical Skills & Personal Attributes

  • Robust analytical abilities coupled with problem-solving acumen.
  • Proficiency in IT applications like Excel, PowerPoint, SAP BW; commitment to driving continuous improvements using these tools.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and standards.
  • Skilled at creating corporate-standard business presentations
  • Exceptional work ethic; adaptable; embraces a “can do” outlook and solutions-oriented mentality.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently without sacrificing urgency or attention to detail.
