This Retail Marketing Manager will lead the development online & offline local activities in Travel Retail APAC (focusing on Korea, Japan and Taiwan) aiming at increasing sales and brand perception. The role is responsible to implement the activation plans across North Asia stores with an omnichannel approach based on the consumer profile and markets’ digital ecosystem. The role will also lead all retailer communications from marketing standpoint, strengthening the collaboration between retailer & marketing. The ambition is to maximize our existing Retail statement and craft memorable consumer experiences for Travellers pre/during/post travel.
Job responsibilities
How you will contribute…
- Own all 360 brand activations and calendars of all customers in Korea, Japan and Taiwan. Co-own and plan all customers retail activation calendars in partnership with sales teams, localizing based off brand plans, ensuring accuracy in limited edition orders in alignment with activation calendars. Track and project manage all retail activations.
- Create occasion marketing content and consumer engagement experiences targeted to the North Asian consumer.
- Detailed planning and tracking of activation locations, budget and launch dates with sales teams. Showcase results and footages of all activations.
- Engage team on consumer journey and experience and support retail operations on guidelines for generic staff trainings where needed.
- Implement e-commerce execution, aligning paid media, social plans with e-commerce wherever needed. Negotiate for retailer social media visibility and maximize retailer CRM communications.
- Lead development to implementation of all high-profile customer events, eg. annual VIP sessions and new store opening events.
- Fully manage all pop-up activations encompassing location, offers, budget, ROI, build and running of all consumer engagements, social media seeding and trade media releases.
- Co-develop CRM programs in partnership with key Korean retailers and build best practice for the rest of the markets. Work on e-retail and ecommerce plans with retailers, to ensure MH’s top of mind visibility within retailer owned media.
- Ownership of all offline merchandizing visibility and store maintenance. This includes regular and up to date refresh of all brand assets and visuals, repairs and replacements of all props and fixtures across all PM spaces.
- Work closely with key internal stakeholders, managing good internal relationships. Including Regional team (brand marketing team, merchandising team), central team, digital team, sales team, finance team, MH local team (brand marketing team, purchase team) to guarantee smooth collaboration.
Profile

- BA Degree holder with at least 8 years of relevant experience in Marketing within FMCG / Luxury; preferably Wine & Spirits or travel retail industry
- Fluent in Korean and English preferred due to the regional scope and correspondences with North Asia team counterparts. Chinese proficiency will be an advantage.
- Digital native with proven track-record and demonstrated project management expertise
- Strong understanding of Retail, consumer journey and consumer experience
Solution and results driven, responsible and independent individual with high level of initiative - Able to influence and motivate teams who may not directly report to this position

- Excellent communication and organizational skills
