The Senior Brand Manager role involves leading the translation of global brand strategy into comprehensive local market plans, strategically directing key programs, overseeing activations with a more significant A&P budget, and fostering key relationships in the market and across the Cluster to achieve brand strategy and business objectives.

Job responsibilities

How you will contribute…

Brand Planning

  • Translate global brand strategy, positioning, and Maisons guidelines to local brand strategy, setting strategic direction for the brand in the local market. Define product pipeline and long-term brand building programs in regular communication and alignment with Maisons strategy.
  • Own master assets, define messaging, choose most relevant assets, and develop creative local guidelines and playbooks to inspire and brief local Customer Marketing Team and agencies.
  • Develop annual marketing plans (Brand Plans) with clear objectives and sound strategies for specific brands and trade channels.
  • Analyse market trends and activation results to propose and influence actionable plans for driving growth.
  • Interpret sales forecasts in collaboration with the local Sales Team and contribute to driving value and growth across North Asia Cluster.
  • Monitor and report various aspects of brand performance through field visits, consumer intelligence research, and qualitative trade feedback.

Marketing Activation Execution

  • Set strategic direction and lead the team to ensure successful implementation of activations, events, and product launches.
  • Collaborate closely with local Customer Marketing team with co-responsibility in defining key channels and local objectives for each Maison. Suggest optimization ideas and more efficient daily ways of working to support Customer Marketing spotless execution. Engage sales and external agencies, manage global POSM, and monitor KPIs to continuously develop the brand.
  • Understand and utilize different digital platforms and technologies to strengthen brand activations and propose disruptive activation concepts that can be incorporated into programs.

Advertising and Promotion

  • Overall A&P budget ownership (ATL and BTL) with a responsibility of 1.1-1.6M EUR, tracking, setting overarching priorities, and brand "Big Bets.". Participation in the overall yearly brand budget with other teams.
  • Manage and track A&P budgets, prioritizing spending against brand priorities and growth opportunities.
  • Leading and proactively develop relationships with local agencies, activation, and PR partners and conversations with the Maisons.
  • Set a clear strategic direction for the team, empowering them to consistently deliver on brand and business objectives.

Management & Collaborative Mindset

  • Manage at least 1 Brand Manager, providing coaching, development, and clear direction to ensure the team is aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate across departments and leverage team expertise while effectively navigating the Market/Maison/North Asia Cluster matrix and embodying company values.
  • Think beyond the local market, apply a North Asia Mindset and seek proactively synergies with the other teams and markets within the cluster.

  • Experience: Min 8 years of marketing experience in related fields, preferably in luxury consumer goods & FMCG industry. Proven experience in brand management and integrated marketing communications.
  • Leadership & Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to set strategic direction, lead teams both directly and transversally, and drive brand initiatives to achieve business objectives. Strong commercial acumen, understanding of consumer business objectives, competitive landscape, consumer behaviour, and the latest marketing tools and technologies.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to manage stakeholders across global, regional, and local markets.
  • Analytical & Creative Thinking: Creative, out-of-the box and analytical thinking, strong digital proficiency, project management skills, and effective problem-solving abilities. Capacity of thinking bold and acting with panache while ensuring spot-on excellence in execution and pragmatic, fact-based evaluation of business opportunities.
  • Language: Fluent in local language and English is essential; proficiency in other languages will be highly preferable.
  • Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented and appreciative of luxury, highly motivated, energetic, enthusiastic, and team-oriented. Organized and structured, capable of dealing with several tasks and deadlines simultaneously and adapting to ever-changing environments. High level of professional ethos and responsibility for highly visible and complex projects.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience in managing budgets and monitoring financial indicators. Capacity of setting clear KPI and monitoring the ROI.
