Job responsibilities
Cluster PR & Amplification Strategy Development
- Define and lead the overarching PR and amplification strategy across the North Asia Cluster, ensuring alignment with global brand strategies and local market nuances.
- Develop and implement a unified strategic framework for media relations, brand storytelling, and corporate communications that enhances brand reputation and visibility throughout the cluster.
- Oversee the creation and dissemination of compelling press materials, corporate announcements, and crisis communication strategies across all markets in the North Asia Cluster.
- Identify and implement synergies in PR efforts across different markets within the cluster to maximize impact and efficiency.
- Work closely with Brand Managers, Senior Brand Managers, and Marketing Managers to integrate PR strategies into overall marketing plans and ensure their smooth and coherent execution.
K-Wave Strategy & Activation
- K-Wave Research & Insights: Conduct in-depth research and analysis of K-Wave trends, cultural shifts, and consumer behavior across the North Asia Cluster, identifying opportunities for brand integration and engagement.
- K-Wave Strategy Formulation: Develop and execute a comprehensive K-Wave strategy that leverages the influence of Korean culture to enhance brand relevance, desirability, and consumer connection within the cluster, working together with Marketing Director, local MDs and cluster MD of North Asia
- K-Wave Education: Act as the internal expert on K-Wave, providing education and insights to marketing teams, Maisons, and other stakeholders to foster understanding and strategic application.
- Identify and propose cross-border projects and concepts that capitalize on K-Wave trends, overseeing their activation and success across the cluster.
- Approach and negotiate the identified talents to involve them into MH projects.
Celebrities, KOL & Influencer Management (Cluster-wide)
- Manage talents, celebrities, KOL (Key Opinion Leaders) and influencer-related topics, from identification and selection to contract negotiation, content co-creation, and performance tracking across the North Asia Cluster.
- Develop a standardized approach and guidelines for influencer marketing, ensuring brand consistency and legal compliance across all markets.
- Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with top-tier KOLs and influencers who align with brand values and can effectively amplify brand messages within the cluster.
- Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of KOL and influencer campaigns, providing data-driven insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Identify and onboard new talent, ensuring a diverse and impactful portfolio of influencers relevant to the North Asia market.
Agency Management & Partnerships
- Lead and manage relationships influence and K-Wave agencies across the North Asia Cluster, ensuring clear briefs, strategic alignment, and high-quality execution.
- Support local teams in managing local PR agencies and relationships. Negotiate contracts and manage budgets for external agencies and partners, optimizing spend for maximum impact and ROI.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for PR, influence, and K-Wave initiatives across the cluster, establishing clear measurement frameworks.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of all PR, influence, and K-Wave activities, providing regular insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Manage and track budgets related to PR, influence, and K-Wave initiatives, ensuring responsible allocation and optimization of resources.

Experience: At least 10 years of progressive experience in PR, communications, influencer marketing, or related fields, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful strategies across multiple markets, preferably within North Asia. Experience in luxury consumer goods & FMCG industry is highly preferred.
Strategic Leadership & Cluster Mindset: Demonstrated ability to define and lead PR, influence, and K-Wave strategies at a cluster level. A deep understanding of the North Asia market landscape, cultural nuances, and consumer behavior. Proven ability to drive cross-border projects and concepts.
K-Wave Expertise: In-depth knowledge and passion for K-Wave trends, including K-Pop, K-Drama and K-Food. Ability to translate cultural insights into actionable brand strategies and innovative activation concepts. Proven relationship track records with different talents and their agencies/agents.
KOL & Influencer Management: Extensive experience in managing all aspects of KOL and influencer relationships, from strategy and identification to negotiation, content creation, and performance measurement on a cluster scale.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to strategically manage diverse stakeholders across global, regional, local markets, and Maisons. Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and build strong relationships at senior levels.
Analytical & Creative Thinking: Highly creative, out-of-the-box, and analytical thinker with strong digital proficiency, advanced project management skills, and exceptional problem-solving abilities. Capacity for bold strategic thinking combined with meticulous execution and data-driven evaluation of complex communication opportunities.
Language: Fluent in Korean and English is essential; proficiency in other languages within the cluster will be highly preferable.
Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented with a profound appreciation for luxury and cultural trends. Highly motivated, energetic, enthusiastic, and a strong team collaborator. Exceptionally organized and structured, capable of managing highly visible and complex communication projects across multiple markets simultaneously, and adept at adapting to rapidly changing media and cultural environments. Financial Acumen: Proven experience in managing and optimizing budgets for large-scale PR, influence, and K-Wave initiatives, demonstrating the capacity to set clear KPIs and monitor ROI at a cluster level.
