Account Manager Specialist

Job Mission

At Moët Hennessy Netherlands, the Account Manager Specialist plays a key role in developing our business across both the Specialist channel (direct and indirect specialists).

The role combines commercial drive, strong customer engagement, and field presence to ensure the visibility, growth, and premium positioning of our portfolio across the Dutch market.

The Account Manager Specialist is responsible for driving sales growth and developing strong commercial partnerships within the Dutch independent specialist (direct and indirect) channel across Randstad region with key cities like: Amsterdam, Rotterdam,  The Hague and Utrecht.

Responsibilities of the role

Commercial & Business Development

  • Manage a portfolio of specialist independent customers, ensuring sales growth, profitability, and distribution objectives.
  • Lead annual negotiations, trade terms, and promotional planning within the assigned customer base.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop Moët Hennessy’s presence across the Dutch market.
  • Deliver best in class visibility and in store activation, in line with brand guidelines and commercial strategy.

Account & Field Management

  • Take full ownership of independent specialists like: liquor stores, fine wine store and other specialist partners.
  • Visit accounts to build strong relationships, secure brand visibility, and ensure perfect execution at point of sale.
  • Support the Key Account Manager to drive the indirect business via preferred Wholesale Partners
  • Monitor sales performance and market dynamics, providing insights and recommendations to the Benelux commercial team.

Collaboration & Internal Partnerships

  • Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to deliver seamless account execution.
  • Share market intelligence and competitive insights to inform business decisions.
  • Contribute to cross-channel coordination, ensuring Specialist strategies are complementary and aligned.

Brand & Team Engagement

  • Act as an ambassador for Moët Hennessy’s brands and values, embodying luxury, excellence, and sustainability.
  • Support brand activations, tastings, and events to strengthen relationships with trade partners and consumers.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and performance oriented team culture.

Candidates Profile

  • 1-2 years of experience in Account Management or Sales within FMCG, luxury or Wine & Spirits.
  • Living in the working area, preferably in the centre of the region.
  • Good understanding of the Dutch retail and specialist channel.
  • Solid negotiation skills and ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with basic financial understanding (margins, pricing, ROI), familiar with data
  • Excellent relationship management and communication abilities.
  • Organised, proactive and commercially driven.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English required.
