This role has been created to lead enterprise master data governance by defining standards, processes, and controls that ensure accurate, consistent, and trusted master data across key business domains. It role drives data quality, stewardship, and continuous improvement to support effective operations and decision-making.

Job responsibilities

Master Data Strategy & Governance: 

  • Define and maintain enterprise master data policies, standards, roles, and governance processes across core business domains.
  • Establish master data creation, maintenance, approval, and stewardship practices to ensure control and accountability.

Data Quality & Operations:

  • Monitor master data quality, resolve issues, and drive corrective actions with data owners and functional teams.
  • Manage master data definitions, hierarchies, and attributes to maintain consistency across systems.

Process & System Integration:

  • Partner with IT and business teams to align master data processes with enterprise systems and identify automation or improvement opportunities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on master data impacts for process changes, system updates, and new initiatives.

Data Quality & Compliance:

  • Establish quality rules, metrics, and controls to support compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations.
  • Promote master data best practices through training, guidance, and governance awareness.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the primary subject matter expert for master data governance, partnering with data owners, stewards, and business leaders to drive alignment and adoption.

Profile

Experience: 10 to 15 years' experience.

Key Skills:

  • Master Data Management (MDM): Strong experience designing, implementing, and governing enterprise master data.
  • Data Governance: Expertise in establishing policies, standards, controls, and stewardship models.
  • Data Quality & Integrity: Ability to assess, prioritize, and resolve complex data quality issues.
  • Process Design & Optimization: Experience defining efficient master data workflows and controls.
  • Systems & Change Delivery: Experience supporting master data requirements in enterprise systems and change initiatives.
  • Communication & Influence: Strong ability to communicate standards and influence stakeholders across functions.
