Your Impact:
Within Finance team, the Business Controller, Travel Retail APAC will be a key business partner in understanding and analyzing the complex yet fascinating and growing Travel Retail business of the APAC region.
This role is crucial for defining the PCD TR APAC financial equation through the different forecast exercises / closings, making sure the commitment of the region is well delivered. Also, you will be a key contributor in various optimization and revamping projects of our financial processes.
The holder of this position will work closely with various functional partners, including local teams and accounting department
Job responsibilities
- Financial forecasting: To be Actively involved in the forecasting process of the region by consolidating, analyzing and reporting the financials in accordance with the management guidelines and timetable. This includes the Monthly outlooks which are focusing on top lines and the regular forecasting exercises R0, R1, R2, BU for full P&L, cash and CAPEX revisions.
- Analysis & reporting: To analyze the overall delivery of the financial targets on a monthly basis and report back to the business / management with necessary recommendations by partnering with the local Teams and accounting department.
- To ensure the actuals are aligned with accounting standards, respecting regional, central and internal control guidelines.
- To conduct in-depth financial analysis when required, identify trends, and provide insights to the Management.
- To monitor the key financial metrics, such as revenue, CAPEX, stock, expenses, cash flow, and overall profitability, to update the related tracking files and to communicate results to stakeholders.
- Continuous improvement: To be proactive into identifying, proposing to Management and coordinating improvement of our financial processes at local or regional level. To be a key coordinator / contributor toward central initiatives that are aiming at improving our financial processes and information workflows.
Profile
Ideally, you would have at least 8 years of relevant working experience with University or Business School Master holder with finance major, you are ambitious enough to embark on a demanding yet fascinating journey. You would particularly enjoy contributing to the operational performance of an international group and therefore have a direct impact on its business.
- University or Business School Master holder with finance major or related specialization
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial controlling, preferably within the travel retail, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and financial statements, budgeting, forecasting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Knowledge in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
