We are looking for an experienced and dedicated individual to join our team as Team Lead Operational Procurement (m/f/d). In this key role, you will be responsible for leading and developing a motivated procurement team and optimizing our operational procurement processes.

Job responsibilities

YOUR TASK:

  • Lead & Develop Team: Provide technical and disciplinary leadership, capacity planning, and individual development for the operational procurement team.
  • Manage Procurement: Oversee the entire ordering process, ensuring timely raw material availability and preventing bottlenecks. Develop warehousing strategies, optimize inventory, and manage indirect production-related procurements. Actively manage a key category or critical supplier.
  • Optimize Processes: Continuously analyze and improve operational purchasing processes, driving digitalization and automation (e.g., within SAP ERP).
  • Strengthen Supplier Relations: Manage operational supplier relationships, conduct evaluations, and resolve complaints/delivery disruptions.
  • Act as Key Interface: Collaborate closely with strategic purchasing, production, and supply chain departments.
  • Reporting & Data Management: Maintain purchasing master data and report on KPIs (delivery reliability, lead times).

Profile

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Proven experience (e.g., 5+ years) in operational procurement, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or team lead role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end procurement processes, inventory management, and supplier relationship management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team.
  • Experience with process optimization and driving digitalization initiatives, particularly within SAP ERP.
  • Proficiency in managing supplier relationships, including performance assessment and escalation resolution.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective cross-functional teamwork (e.g., with Strategic Purchasing, Production, Supply Chain).
  • Strong analytical skills for KPI reporting and master data management.
  • English and German: Fluent, French: Nice to have.
