Position
Retail Trainer is responsible for driving boutique performance through on-the-floor coaching and ensuring excellence in selling skills, product knowledge, and client experience execution.
This role translates training strategy into actionable behaviors at the point of sale, supporting retail teams in achieving business objectives and delivering a consistent, high-quality brand experience.
Job responsibilities
On-the-Floor Coaching & Performance Development
- Provide on-the-floor coaching to retail staff to enhance selling skills, product storytelling, and client engagement
- Observe real client interactions and deliver immediate, actionable feedback
- Reinforce luxury selling behaviors and elevate overall client experience standards
Sales Performance Support
- Support boutiques in achieving sales targets by reinforcing key KPIs (e.g., conversion, ASP, client development)
- Translate training strategy into practical execution at POS level
- Drive improvements in individual and team performance through targeted coaching
Client Experience & Service Excellence
- Ensure consistent execution of TAG Heuer client experience standards across all boutiques
- Analyze Mystery Shopping and NPS results to identify performance gaps
- Deliver focused coaching to improve service quality and client satisfaction
Product Knowledge & Selling Skills Reinforcement
- Reinforce product knowledge and storytelling techniques in alignment with brand positioning
- Support product launches by ensuring retail teams are confident and impactful in presenting new collections
- Maintain consistency and accuracy in brand communication across all POS
- Localize global training materials (translation and content adaptation) and deliver training sessions to retail teams
Boutique & Manager Support
- Support boutique managers in coaching their teams and maintaining training standards
- Act as a key partner to retail teams, ensuring alignment between training strategy and boutique execution
- Encourage a strong culture of performance, accountability, and brand pride
- Drive staff engagement through e-learning management (content updates, completion tracking) and monthly training newsletters
Field Insights & Reporting
- Provide regular qualitative feedback and field insights to the Senior Training Manager
- Identify recurring issues, best practices, and opportunities from boutique visits
- Contribute to continuous improvement of training programs based on field observations
Profile
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in luxury retail, training, or sales (experience in the watch industry preferred)
- Strong understanding of retail KPIs and performance drivers
- Proven ability to coach and influence behavior in a retail environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong observation skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback
- Hands-on, proactive, and results-oriented mindset
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Passion for luxury, watches, and client experience excellence
