MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THIS POSITION
As AP Accounting Supervisor, this role will be in charge of complex AP daily operation, covering invoice processing, payment execution, vendor reconciliation, and AP-related reporting to related stakeholders. This role is responsible for key project implementation and process optimization, provide professional technical support for the whole AP team, ensure the compliance, accuracy and efficiency of AP core work, and provide solid support for company’s financial closing, AP internal control and cash flow management.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION
- Handle daily PR/PO in system, including invoice matching and strict AP compliance verification in accordance with local regulation and internal control requirements
- Monitor invoice due dates in real time and coordinate payment schedule to ensure timely and accurate payments
- Perform monthly intercompany reconciliation and key vendor account reconciliation
- Conduct monthly follow-up, statistics and analysis on core AP KPI, timely identify and take necessary follow-up on abnormal indicators and pending items
- Act as a professional liaison with BPC and brand teams, promptly respond to and resolve complex AP-related inquiries and provide professional and long-term solutions
- Handle Month-end Closing activities and AP Reporting
- Prepare Month-end Group Financial Reporting in accordance with IFRS standards
- Participate in various ad-hoc financial projects and provide feasible solutions to support brand business from Finance perspectives
- Act as the key contributor for AP strategic projects, including AI+ integration, automation tool deployment, system improvements, and process optimization. Put forward improvement proposals and promote implementation, and provide professional and technical guidance and support for the entire AP team
MAIN KPIs OF THIS POSITION
- Reporting Accuracy & Timeliness: Zero material errors in assigned AP financial reports, reconciliations and group reporting; 100% adherence to all internal and external reporting deadlines.
- AP Cycle: On-time vendor payment in compliance with the payment terms.
- Audit & Compliance: No material AP-related audit adjustment from assigned processes; zero material control deficiencies in owed AP operations; 100% compliance with group and statutory requirements.
- Project & Process Improvement: On-time and successful delivery of assigned AP projects; continuous improvement in assigned process and successful adoption of automation related tools.
- Team Support: Timely and effective resolution of complex AP queries; effective knowledge sharing and support to the AP team
PRINCIPAL COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
- Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA/ACCA qualification is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with solid AP operation experience; retail industry is highly preferred.
- Prior experience with ERP systems (SAP, Dynamics) and end-to-end AP platforms is mandatory
- Deep understanding of PRC GAAP, IFRS and Tax regulation; full mastery of end-to-end Accounts Payable lifecycle, with a highly developed sense of internal control and risk identification
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proven experience in AP process optimization and project leadership experience is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both Chinese and English.
- Good MS office skills (PPT, Excel, etc..).
