Bvlgari brings Kaleidos to Shanghai 

Following its international debut, Bvlgari's Kaleidos: Colors, Cultures and Crafts exhibition arrives in Shanghai for a new chapter at the Power Station of Art, the first public museum of contemporary art in mainland China. Bringing together a newly curated selection of more than 300 chromatic jewelry masterpieces,  the exhibition explores one of the defining elements of the Maison's creative identity: color. 

Reimagined for its Shanghai presentation, the exhibition unfolds across three themes: The Science of Colors, Color Symbolism and The Power of Light. Throughout the exhibition, Western theories of color are placed in dialogue with the Chinese philosophy of the Five Elements, offering a new perspective on Bvlgari's creations through the lens of Chinese artistic and cultural traditions. 

The Shanghai edition also features new commissions by Chinese artists Liang Manqi and Zhang Ding, alongside an exhibition design developed with architecture studio SANAA and design studio Formafantasma. Together, architecture, contemporary art and Jewelry Masterpieces create an immersive journey in which each gallery offers a different interpretation of color. 

For the first time, Kaleidos also brings together exceptional loans from Italian and Chinese collectors. Among the highlights is a 1973 sautoir from Bvlgari's Heritage Collection, unveiled to the public for the first time. Combining coral, onyx, diamonds and a carved jade medallion, the piece reflects the Eastern influences that have long been woven into the Maison's creative heritage.
