From December 10, 2025 the Jardin d'Acclimatation invites visitors of all ages to discover the third edition of its spectacular Lantern Festival, "Japan in Lights".
Conceived specially for the park, this dazzling spectacle is a poetic journey celebrating the spirit of Japan with some 2,000 majestic shimmering creations that illuminate the gardens until March 8, 2026.
After the tremendous success of Dragons and Lanterns in 2023 and The Dinosaur Ball in 2024, the Jardin d'Acclimatation once again welcomes visitors for a magical winter experience that joins the Paris tradition of breathtaking illuminations. This year's journey stretches from ancient Kyoto temples to the flamboyant streets of Tokyo, including hot-spring Jigokudanimacaques and manga heroes, plus sublime natural landscapes with blooming sakura cherry blossoms, koi carp and the towering silhouette of iconic Mount Fuji.
The journey unfolds in three chapters:
- the Empire of Traditions, an homage to the history and spiritual resonance of Japan;
- a Pop-Modern Odyssey, celebrating contemporary creative energy with graphic arts and kawaii creatures;
- and the Garden of Dreams, and ode to the serene beauty of Japanese nature and its magical power of inspiration.
The illuminated journey includes a host of family and cultural experiences too. There are immersive installations, XXL arcade games, a food court proposing Japanese and European specialties, plus of course the giant Ferris Wheel for an exceptional view of the glittering Paris skyline.
The Jardin d'Acclimatation is one of the French capital's most loved sites. Renovated in 2018, the amusement park draws over 1.6 million visitors a year, continuing its role as a unique space where education, culture and wonder welcome the entire world. After celebrating China, Korea and Mexico, the park pursues its journey around the world with a dazzling tribute to the Land of the Rising Sun, resonating with the Osaka World Expo held earlier this year.
With Japan in Lights, the Jardin d'Acclimatation is once again a must on the holiday season calendar, proposing an unforgettable adventure for visitors of all ages – without leaving Paris….
