Designed by renowned architect Jun Aoki, the new Maison Louis Vuitton Sanlitun stands as an exceptional work of architecture in Beijing. The building is a bold interpretation of Louis Vuitton’s identity, where poetic references meet technical sophistication.
Jun Aoki has been working with the Maison for 25 years, designing stunning projects including Tokyo Omotesando, Tokyo Namiki Dori and Osaka Midosuji.
The design of this new flagship weaves tradition and modernity, drawing inspiration from the sculptural shapes of the Taihu Stone, as well as the fluid look of a dress created by Nicolas Ghesquière for the Women’s Spring-Summer 2016 collection. The result is an elegant façade in luminous glass, bringing together architectural prowess and poetic interplay. Inside the store, the entirety of Louis Vuitton’s universe is found across four levels, along with four private lounges to welcome VIC clients. On the fourth floor, the first Café Louis Vuitton in Beijing, under the direction of chef Leonardo Zambrino, proposes an immersive space, extended by an expansive terrace for special events.
Through the architectural vision of Jun Aoki, the Maison Louis Vuitton Sanlitun introduces an exciting new benchmark for contemporary refinement, embodying the essence of Louis Vuitton and its inimitable Art of Travel.
