LVMH has once again been distinguished by CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) for its leadership in environmental transparency and performance, achieving a Triple “A” score - the highest possible rating on its scale - covering climate, forests and water.
A global reference for assessing corporate environmental commitments, CDP’s scoring process is based on an independent and rigorous methodology, evaluating the completeness of available information, the management of environmental risks, and the ability to demonstrate the effectiveness of practices across the entire value chain.
This recognition confirms the strength of LVMH’s environmental trajectory, driven by the LIFE 360 program, structured around five pillars - Climate, Biodiversity, Creative Circularity, Traceability & Transparency, and Stakeholders - and operationally deployed since 2019.
This trajectory has already translated into tangible results, including a 55% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions, the preservation, restoration or regeneration of more than 3.8 million hectares of natural habitats, the integration of 33% recycled materials into products and packaging, as well as an approximately one-third reduction in indirect emissions (Scope 3) compared to 2019.
“We are proud to once again achieve a Triple ‘A’ score from CDP for climate, forests and water. As the world’s leading luxury group, we have a particular responsibility: to place environmental excellence at the heart of our business model and, together with all stakeholders - partners, institutions, peers and even competitors - contribute to collectively advancing practices across the entire value chain,” said Antoine Arnault, Image and Environment, LVMH.
“This Triple ‘A’ score recognizes our concrete actions in favor of the environment. It is based on clearly defined pathways, rigorous governance and measurable progress achieved on climate, forests and water, close to the Maisons’ operations. It is an important recognition for the teams who are committed on a daily basis,” said Hélène Valade, Environment Development Director, LVMH.
Awarded on December 10, this distinction is part of the continued rollout of the LIFE 360 program and the collective mobilization of LVMH and its stakeholders. It notably echoes the first edition of the LIFE 360 Awards, held the same day in Paris, which highlighted 13 winning initiatives selected from 187 projects led by 41 Maisons, illustrating the environmental transformation underway across the Group.
