Against a backdrop of towering waves, the looks designed by Pharrell Williams explore the sea and the shore. The dandy borrows the codes and colors of surf culture. With his new men's collection, the Creative Director transcends frontiers to unleash a new energy, inspired by the serene rhythm of the ride.
The wardrobe of the dandy-surfer draws on travel, performance and savoir-faire. This unconventional elegance, tinged with a certain relaxed sophistication, is imbued with marine embellishments and hand-woven textiles. The rolling waves set the tone, lend their hues of blue and green. Precise tailoring dialogues with monogrammed technical wetsuits, and the surfboard emerges as the ultimate summer accessory. Supple bags catch the eye.
While textures seem weathered by the sun and sea spray, embroidered beads and shells recall treasures found on the beach. From acid colors to checkerboard motifs, graphics fuse the lexicons of surf culture and skateboarding. Stripes play with the line of the horizon, and a dazzling trunk evokes the sunset of an endless summer. Baseball caps and hoodies let long hair flow free. Fluid pants are paired with canvas sneakers that step lightly in the sand. Among the stand-out pieces is a jacket crafted from patches, like souvenirs of surfing spots visited around the world. Under the Paris sky, the waves become a unifying symbol, connecting the beauty of nature to the community of dandy-surfers.
As part of its Regeneration 2030 roadmap, Louis Vuitton supports Coral Gardeners in advancing reef restoration efforts in French Polynesia, while the show’s water, sourced from Eaux de Paris, will return to the sewer system through a closed circuit, and its sand will be donated to the beach volleyball courts at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris.
