DIOR AND PARLEY FOR THE OCEANS

Dior and Parley for the Oceans truly pushed the boundaries of creativity with a tangible commitment to more sustainable fashion and cleaner oceans. The partnership sprang from a joint research project in 2019 that led to the development of yarns and fabrics created from upcycled marine plastic debris and fishing gear recovered from coastlines and remote islands around the world. The goal was to incorporate these innovative and sustainable materials in some of the French fashion house’s most celebrated collections.

And this is how waterproof capes, t-shirts and sandals came to sport marine motifs, coral designs and prints that evoke the unique ocean ecosystem. The mineral color palette and the motifs chosen to capture the very essence of our oceans.

The Dior and Parley for the Oceans collab shows that beautiful and sustainable definitely go very well together indeed in a collection where, for the Fall 24 Beach Capsule, 30% of the garments are composed of Parley Ocean Plastic®, an innovative material created from upcycled marine plastic debris, and 70% of the fabrics are biologic or recycled.

TIFFANY & CO. x ELSA PERETTI

Tiffany & Co. announces the debut of the new Elsa Peretti® Bone and Split rings, part of the designer’s
50th anniversary celebration. Drawing inspiration from the groundbreaking Bone cuff design, first introduced in 1970, the rings are a nod to the sublime beauty found in nature. The sculptural form of the Bone cuff is drawn from Elsa’s visits as a young girl to a 17th-century Capuchincrypt in Rome and her time spent in Barcelona, inspired by Antoni Gaudí’s Casa Milà. A testament to Elsa Peretti’s
curiosity and creativity, the Bone cuff design showcases the ergonomic sensuality that informs the designer’s jewelry. Embodying the empowering aesthetic of a modern independent woman and Peretti’s unique sensibility, the new Bone and Split rings perpetuate the designer’s legacy.

I have always been interested in the mechanics and its feel every jewelry piece
should be captivating and comfortable to wear.

    HENNESSY X.O X FRANK GEHRY

Since 1870, Hennessy X.O has embodied refinement in the cognac world, gaining renown for its oak-aged eaux-de-vie. In 2020, for its 150th anniversary, Hennessy X.O presented an exclusive piece designed by Frank Gehry. Using a signature sculptural style that reinterprets the iconic Hennessy X.O bottle, the American-Canadian architect was able to combine bronze, gold and glass to expertly reflect the Maison's heritage. A true sculpture made with fractured glass, the decanter embodies Hennessy's heritage and the art of distillation. With this, Frank Gehry pays a vibrant tribute to the Maison's rituals and expertise.
