Personal data processing notice for visitors and users of the LVMH.com website

This personal data protection notice (hereafter referred to as the "Notice") is intended to provide visitors and users (hereafter referred to as "you") of the www.lvmh.com website and its subdomains, lvmh.com/fr, lvmh.com/en, lvmh.com/it and lvmh.com/jp (hereafter collectively referred to as the "Website" or "Site"), with information regarding how LVMH (hereafter referred to as "we" or "LVMH") processes your personal data.
This Notice applies to the personal data collected by LVMH when you use the Site and/or create an account in the candidate portal.
It does not apply to personal data shared when you respond to job opportunities posted by LVMH Group Maisons on the Site. The processing of data collected in connection with your job applications is subject to the personal data protection notice of the Maison offering the position for which you are applying.
Furthermore, this notice does not apply to personal data shared when you join the LVMH Shareholders' Club. The processing of data collected in connection with this Club's membership is governed by a separate notice available in the Club’s members-only area.
1 - What is meant by "Personal Data"?
Personal data refers to any information or set of information that can identify you either:
- directly (e.g., your last name, first name(s), etc.), and/or
- indirectly (e.g., your email address, phone number, etc.)
(hereinafter referred to as "Personal Data" or "Data")
2 - Who is the data controller?
A data controller is the entity that determines the purposes and means of processing your Personal Data and is responsible to you for complying with the applicable personal data protection laws and regulations. (the "Data Controller").
With regard to the Site, the Data Controller is the company:

3 - What Personal Data concerning you do we use, and how do we collect it?
We process Personal Data related to:
- creating and managing your account in the candidate portal: last name, first name, email address, and phone number, as well as your job opportunity preferences
- your subscription to LVMH newsletters: last name, first name, and email address
- your questions submitted through the “Contact us” section: last name, first name, email address, and any other information you share with us when you interact with us
- your browsing activity on the Site: technical data (IP address of the device you use to connect, device type, browser identifier, connection logs, etc.)
We collect your Personal Data:
- directly from you when you create an account in the candidate portal, when you subscribe to our newsletters, or when you contact us through the “Contact us” section
- automatically, when you access the Site (technical data only)
4 - Why do we collect your Personal Data, and on what legal basis?
LVMH, as the Data Controller, collects and uses your Personal Data for the following purposes:
- creating and managing your account in the candidate portal based on your consent
- processing your requests through the “Contact us” section based on your consent
- managing your subscription to our different newsletters based on your consent
- managing the Site'ss cybersecurity based on our legitimate interest
- managing the defense of LVMH’s rights in the event of a dispute or legal proceedings based on our legitimate interest
In all the cases described above, we ensure that the Personal Data processed is appropriate, relevant, and not excessive in relation to the purposes for which it is collected and/or further processed.
5 - Who has access to your Personal Data?
In general, your Personal Data can be accessed by:
the following departments within LVMH:
- the Corporate Communication Department and Financial Communications Department, as regards the management of your requests and newsletter subscriptions
- the IT Department, as regards the maintenance of the Site and the candidate portal
- the Security Department, as regards the management of cybersecurity for the Site and the candidate portal
- the Legal and Anti-Fraud Departments, as regards the management of fraud prevention or legal proceedings, if necessary
- the Data Protection Officer for any request to exercise rights in accordance with Section 9 below
Third parties:
- our subcontractors and service providers who assist us for technical and logistical reasons (providers of website hosting, security, and maintenance services, fraud management service providers, technical service providers responsible for sending emails and newsletters, and anti-spam and anti-bot service providers)
- any authority, court, or other third party when disclosure is required by law, regulations or a court decision, or if such disclosure is necessary to protect and defend our rights
6 - For how long is your Personal Data stored?
Data used for:
- creating your account in the candidate portal is stored for as long as you use the portal. If this portal is not used for 2 years, your data will be deleted.
- subscribing to your LVMH newsletters is stored for the period of your subscription. It is then destroyed.
- submitting your questions through the "Contact us" section is stored for as long as necessary to process your request. Your Data will then be either deleted or anonymized unless we need to keep them to meet our legal obligations for the applicable prescriptive storage period.
- managing the cybersecurity for the Site and the candidate portal is stored for 6 months and then destroyed
7 - Transfer of your Personal Data outside the European Economic Area
Your Data is processed in France by LVMH. However, we may rely on certain service providers which are located abroad or which themselves rely on subcontractors located abroad, including those in countries outside the European Economic Area ("EEA") where personal data protection laws differ from those that apply in the EEA.
Any transfer of your Data outside the EEA will be subject to the appropriate safeguards that comply with the applicable personal data protection regulations.
8 - What are your rights in relation to your Data?
You can access the Personal Data we hold concerning you at any time. You have the option to request that this Data be rectified or supplemented if you wish. You may also request the erasure of your Personal Data at any time.
We will do our best to respond to your request as soon as possible, and no later than 30 days from the date it was received.
You may exercise these rights by contacting us as described in Section 9 below.

11 - Third-party websites
The Site may contain links to third-party websites over which we have no control (such as, for example, the websites of other LVMH Group Maisons that post job opportunities as independent data controllers) and which are governed by their own privacy and data protection policies.
This Notice does not apply to these third-party sites. We encourage you to review the personal data protection notices of these third-party sites to learn how they process your Data. LVMH disclaims all liability regarding the use of your Data by these third parties.

In any event, your Data will be erased at your request, within a maximum period of one (1) month from your request.
