Chaumet is taking part in the exhibition Blooming: Curated Art Collections from the 16th to the 20th Century, organized by Eric Art at the Zhejiang Provincial Museum in Hangzhou, China.

Bringing together some 350 exceptional pieces, this retrospective explores the evolution of jewelry and the decorative arts through cultural exchanges between East and West through five centuries. Chaumet is the most significant lender, contributing forty creations from its heritage collections. They have all been carefully curated for their symbolic motifs, materials, components or the emblematic technical savoir-faire involved, illustrating the evolution of the Maison’s style in different eras.

The exhibition is organized around four themes – Nourishment, Echoes, Persistence and Abundance – capturing the creativity and vitality of artistic links between Asia and Europe. Nature, a theme treasured in China and by Chaumet, figures as a unifying leitmotif. From the wheat ears in the famous Crèvecœur tiara to birds and naturalistic leaves, each creation celebrates the sheer vitality of an instant.

Enriched by these treasures, Lingering Gaze joins the Maison’s memorable retrospective exhibitions dedicated to nature, including Végétal – L’École de la Beauté at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 2022 and Chaumet & Nature at the  M7 in Doha, Qatar in 2024.
