LVMH announced the winners of the ninth LVMH Innovation Award during a ceremony which saw the jury name three prizewinners: Best Impact Prize, Best Business Prize and Most Promising Prize. The LVMH Innovation Award is emblematic of the Group’s vision of innovation as a collective force where creativity, technology and collaboration connect to shape the future of luxury.

An eagerly awaited highlight of VivaTech, the LVMH Innovation Award ceremony took place on Thursday, June 12.

LVMH Group Managing Director Stéphane Bianchi shared his vision of innovation as a prime source of excellence across the Group, and also commented on the new partnership between LVMH and Formula 1®, a groundbreaking alliance between two worlds driven by performance, innovation and global influence. Ellen Jones, Head of Environment, Social & Governance at Formula 1®, offered insights on how technological innovation contributes to making Formula 1® net zero carbon by 2030, and the ways in which its related R&D has positive impact for the entire auto industry.

During the ceremony, LVMH reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with startups and helping them scale up their collaborations with Group Maisons. The fruit of this strategy was showcased at the LVMH Dreamscape pavilion, presenting 15 projects with 11 LVMH Maisons that are already yielding tangible results.

All the tech partners involved in these collaborations were shortlisted to compete for the Innovation Award. Three of them were recognized for solutions that have been co-developed within the LVMH ecosystem.

“Innovation has always energized the growth of our Maisons and their desirability. This innovation is not an end in itself, but rather a means to achieve excellence. I’m always delighted to meet these young entrepreneurs, and to see them working with our centuries-old Maisons and be recognized for their entrepreneurial spirit and hard work,” said Bernard Arnault, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of LVMH.
